Dr. Cheung of Virginia Eye Consultants is excellent. He is professional but also has a good rapport with patients and staff. I have no complaints. The nursing staff were all friendly and caring. It felt at Harbourview Medical Center good to be in the hands of experienced nurses who made sure I was comfortable and explained the process before I went through it. Even registration staff were helpful.

Went to see the cornea eye specialist, Dr. Alfred Cheung, on Tuesday, June 21st, and had a wonderful experience! Dr. Cheung was very caring, talked to me explaining everything, answered all my questions and even though I’m hard of hearing, he was very patient and didn’t mind repeating something if I didn’t hear him the first time! It’s makes my heart happy to know that there are still some doctors like Dr. Cheung around that care about his patients like he does! Even though my eye isn’t well enough to have the transplant right now, I left happy because of his kindness and concern towards me! I would highly recommend him to everyone I know! Can’t wait to see him at my next appointment!💖💖

Dr Cheung has brought me from being legally blind in my right eye to being able to drive my vehicle and work again His skill has given me a normal life back At 73 years old I am INDEPENDENT again Thank you Dr C

Dr. Cheung diagnosed a condition in my eye that had brought me from optometrist, to dry eye specialist, to Dr. Cheung. He had all the equipment needed for diagnostic testing in his office. He is a skilled surgeon, answers questions thoroughly in a way you can understand, and has a wonderful demeanor. My eye problem has been fixed and I am thrilled!

I can not thank Dr. Cheung and the team of surgeons who provided my mother over 5 months of critical care and surgery and literally saved her eye. Dr. Cheung’s care and consideration of her, working to heal her eye and minimize pain was exemplary. He is not only an excellent surgeon, his personal care of the patient is the best I’ve ever experienced. I also would like to say that the team at Virginia Eye Consultants is very compassionate and works to ensure excellent service and good care every step of the way during a visit. Thank you all for taking such good care of my mother, Margaret Shanks. She and our family will never forget the care you gave her.
