List of Bon Secours Ghent Station Medical Associates's Reviews
Dr Wilson is great. Nice to have an appointment where I don't have to go through the tunnel to Portsmouth
Very unhappy with my visit here. Dr Chavez did not listen to my history and did unnecessary test. One of my test was abnormal and when I wanted clarification their answer did not line up with my history. I do not feel that I received satisfactory care. One of the techs kept saying she needed to “brush up on her medical terminology.” I don’t want to hear that you don’t know what you’re putting in my chart. The first time I met the doctor, when the tech left the room I heard the doctor say “Is she nice?” I think they forget how thin the walls are. Why would I trust a doctor that says that before going in the room? If I wasn’t nice, what kind of visit would he have provided? 100% do Not recommend.
I don’t know about the bad reviews but I like this practice. We lived in Norfolk for 3 years and brought my mom and dad here. It was easy to get appointment not like many practice. They have lab on-site. Most of the receptionist are nice (with few bad eggs but thats just how it is with customer service). The nurses are nice. But the best thing about this practice is Dr Chavez. He takes time to get to know patients and is very knowledgeable. My father had diabetes and vascular dementia, his care was hard to coordinate but Dr Daniel Chavez was patient and helped us a lot. He is easy to reach when you have an urgent need or question. Now we moved to a different city and its hard to find good doctors like him, let alone a practice like this. I work in the healthcare field and I just don’t say that often.
HORRIBLE. Keep trying to come in for an x ray and every time I try they say “shes not doing anymore today” and I call the next day and they say the same thing! I cannot come in the morning, so I guess she just doesn’t feel like doing them in the afternoon. Lazy. Annoying.
Do not go to this place. Everyone is so rude!! They act as if you are taking up their time. My PA quit (the role over with drs and PAs is pretty quick) I saw I new Dr. yesterday can't remember his name. I needed some ambien to sleep, he does not like prescribing it so I'm out. Suggested a sleep client which takes weeks and weeks to get into and will cost hundreds. I am an incredible healthy 60 year old women who has trouble sleeping. he saw me for 1 minute and decided I was some kind of addict and refused to prescribe. Said it was for my owe safety and thought I was a risk for falling. What a joke I do intense Yoga just about every day and walk 3 miles everyday. So now I am tasked with finding a new Doctor which will all know is a pain. Save your time and sanity and don't step foot in this place.
I don't even want to rate this office 1 star. I have been a patient here for several months, however the doctor I was seeing left the practice. Today I was seen by Dr. Kevin Murray which I do not recommend. I had to be seen with my 24 year old NON-verbal autistic twin daughters that barely make a peep. They were in the room with me giggling very softly at their movie they we're watching on their iPad with HEADPHONES on. Upon entrance into the room, Dr. Murray proceeded to ask "what are you going to do about THAT" pointing to my children. He claimed it would very difficult to concentrate and couldn't see me originally. Then he said "he'll do the best he can do". I was shocked as there was barely even a sound coming out of their mouths. They are my children. If I did not need immediate attention to my medical problem, I would have walked right out. If I could have left them home, that would have been great...but it wasn't an option. I will never go back and will post a negative review everywhere I can about him. I have seen my fair share of bad bed side manners from physicians in especially the 24 years of my daughters lives with 11 total surgeries. I can honestly say, this was by far the worst. Congratulations Dr. Murray!!
I love Bon Secours! The staff treats me with kindness and care! I can't thank Jessica Woods enough. If you want the best care available, go there.
They frequently have providers come & go plus what's worst is the Only provider I like Jessica Woods NP is leaving. They have horrible & I mean horrible front desk representatives & nursing staff whom do not care about anything besides making minimum wage. Sadly, I am unable to receive help or aid when it comes to my needs & being great does not apply to anyone that works at the facility. If it was not the convenient location of this office to my home/work the extended wait of finding a new provider I absolutely would not suggest this location to a dead roach. Bon Secours/ Mercy Health...you have to do Better, please!
Just don’t go here. I came, and I mean it’s my first time here, but you can only be seen if you have an appointment. I didn’t, and I asked for same day appointment, they don’t have that. Okay cool. I couldn’t do an appointment because they were pretty booked. Going to patients first can be expensive and a pretty long wait time, but I might as well go there.
If I could give a negative star that is what I would. The front desk is completely incompetent in my opinion rude and they look for confrontation. Think about it you being sick and you have to basically have an argument with the front desk just to get an appointment or anything. They also use the mask policy in a weaponization way.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
