Dr Gabriel is wonderful however, office staff is not good at all. My daughter has been a patient for years. She needed a follow up appointment and Dr Gabriel had been ill so getting an appointment was tough. We finally got one months out only to be cancelled a couple weeks prior as he no longer sees patients in va beach on that day. Ok reschedule and it was months out. We went to appointment to be told we were 15 minutes late and needed to reschedule. Yet our reminder call gave us this time. Nope he won’t see you! I asked office manager to call and no one ever did. We haven’t had an appointment in over 2 years. We are going elsewhere.

Dr. Gabriel saved my son's life when he was 16. He wanted to treat him medication when the other doctors didn't. My family has always said he was sent by God to save my son. My son is now 23 and is doing well. We miss the kind gentle and loving care that he gave to my son. We owe him a great debt.

I came to this practice with another doctor, whom we loved. Dr Gabriel is knowledgeable, but every visit has been at least a 20 minute wait just for vitals. They have no respect for the parent's time, and just expect you to sit and br quiet. And what doctor's office doesn't have automated doors for wheelchair accessibility in 2020?

Go to someone who cares about your children. He does not. My niece complained for months about pain and he ignored it and dragged his feet. Someone like this should not be in charge of any child's care, especially a black child.

I took my 3 year son after 3 weeks of rash, joint pain, fever, low appetite, and headache. Basic tests done at PCP were all negative. They referred us to a pediatric rheumatologist. Dr. Gabriel was the closest at 2.5 hours away! His office staff were nice but failed to check us in properly. I never filled out any medical history information, they didn't even obtain the correct PCP information to share records. Dr. Gabriel was very dismissive of my son's condition saying it was no need for concern. He got very limited history, did an exam, and said we didn't need to do any labs but could if I wanted. I of course requested the labs because I know something is wrong, don't know what, but I know it's not right. I requested access to the online portal so I can easily print his labs to share with his PCP but no success in getting that. Office staff said because they forgot to have me sign up in person at registration I now can't. Overall I would not reccomend Dr. Gabriel or CHKD.

He has been treating my daughter for over 10 years and he is the absolute best. Very knowledgeable and caring. His staff is also great! Would not take her to anyone else.

Remarkable!!! Best Dr. ! He has helped my grandson become a different child. He knew something was wrong, things others overlooked. Very knowledgeable, I can go on for days. Absolutely the best.

My first experience here with my daughter was a great one. Dr. Gabriel was very knowledgeable.

Dr. Christos Gabriel has gone above and beyond. He has provided outstanding medical care. Finding the right doctor can make a world of difference in how a patient fares, especially when managing a chronic illness that can be controlled, but not cured. Good communication skills, empathy and compassion is what Dr. Gabriel has given us. He monitors my son's treatment and progress, and is truly happy when he does well. An outstanding medical professional who values his relationship with his patients

There is a benefit to this Drs. approach. He does not jump to conclusions or medicate to see what happens. He does not rush to bogus a diagnosis and make you chase your tail to find out what is really going on. This is frustrating in a world where we demand answers NOW. But, it is not good medicine to give pushy parents bad answers and pills to make them happy. Dr. Gabriel does not do this. Its not always convenient but smart.
