Dr. Salib is very knowledgeable and excellent in his care. I’ve had to get injections in my eye and Dr. Salib is excellent. I feel nothing and the same with the vitrectomy. And my vision has improved since surgery. This is not relative to Dr. Sslib’s care, but has to do with the ofgice procedure for return post-op appointment waiting process. I was forgotten when I returned for same day surgery post op visit and had to spend sitting up straight for 1:45 hours waiting for my appointment which was not consistent with Dr. Salib’s discharge orders. Dr. Salib had ordered for me to lie flat until 8:00 am the next morning. I had had vitrectomy surgery by Dr. Salib at 7:30 that morning and had to come back at 12:45 pm for my post-op checkup to have patch removed and eye checked. Dr. Salib had said I was to remain in the supine position until 8:00 am the next day. I rode home from surgery in a lying down position in the car, and while I was home was lying flat on my back, and on return travel to Virginia Eye Consultants. When I checked in st 12:40 pm, I told the lady at the front desk that I needed to be lying flat until 8 am the next day. She told me to have a seat. 20 minutes after sitting up straight I was taken back for patch removal snd then taken to another waiting room in a straight chair and waited again. An hour and 10 minutes later at 1:55 pm I looked for someone to tell my situation snd it took a while to find someone. They had forgotten about me. She found someone who did take me to a room with a reclining chair. I was finally checked out st 2:30 pm. I was not in the supine position for 1:45 hours because they had forgotten me. There needs to be a better prioritization process so that post-op patients are given priority for the care required. And after waiting for quite some time when I looked for someone to tell my situation, I had a hard time finding someone. And I didn’t know what position anyone held as most don’t wear name and position badges.

I am so grateful to have been treated at The Virginia Eye Consultants by Dr. Salib. I receive treatment that is suburb. Dr. Salib is exceptional in this field, and has the kindest disposition towards his patients. Saving my eye sight has changed my life, I was so terrified on my first visit Dr. Salib reassured me and calmed me down and the rest is history I now have 20/25 vision in both eyes with my glasses and I have a wonderful specialist that I adore!

I consider myself 'Blessed' to have found both Doctor Salib and Doctor Scoper... Both are HIGHLY skilled surgeons... Because of ALL the skilled and dedicated individuals at Virginia Eye Consultants I have the use of both of my eyes... Dr. Salib has transformed my eye health by providing the best treatments available and information about improving my daily routine and supplement use.

Thanks to Dr. Salib, I still have my vision. He is a very professional and welcoming doctor and though not his fault, the only thing that could make this doctor better is if the waiting time were reduced. Otherwise, I am very grateful to have access to his services.
