I had symptoms related to a possible tear of the retina and the Dr. Dragon's care team expedited an appointment and when he determined there was a tear to the retina they got me an immediate appointment with a retina specialist to help save my sight. Thank you Southern EyeCare Associates!
Dr. Dragon was awesome. I have an awful eye disease, that has me emotionally drained and frustrated. He has been exceptionally attentive, kind, and through. Thanks so, so much.
It was a pleasant and enjoyable experience to visit an optometrist today for the first time in almost 4 years. I work in software near Tidewater Drive, and with my company's provided Cigna/VSP health and vision insurance I wanted to visit a new doctor to do my eye inspection, as my last was rather basic at the nearby Walmart.Given that I scheduled my appointment for 8:45 AM right after they opened the lobby was not very busy. I recommend calling to schedule an appointment for an eye exam, as it can save you a hassle from driving and arriving in person only to just be given some paperwork before leaving. I drove there first to find it in person from Google Maps; Suite 41 where you can find him is directly next to a T-Mobile.The paperwork was easy enough and I felt in good company with the kindly receptionists and saleswomen showing me the different brands of glasses and helping with my examination. The wait was relatively quick at only ~30 minutes, and the exam itself was only about another 45 of inspection work with an assistant and waiting for Dr. Dragon himself to come in to help.It all went well and felt smooth, and really I think the longest part may have just been me digging through the different brands and trying some on to find the best "style" for my face! 10/10
Dr.Dragon is very courteous, professional, as well as trustworthy. I certainly would recommend him to family, friends or anyone in general who may be looking for eye care.
I'm so glad I found this office. My regular eye doctor was closed because of COVID, but I broke my glasses and had been out of contacts for a while. I called into the office to see if they are excepting new patients and got an appointment the same day. I was nervous to see a new doctor, and wasn't sure the precautions they were taking for the corona virus, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. You could see them disinfecting everything. The office was put together so well, very clean, and all the staff was awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be switching my family to this office.

I'm currently sitting in John c Dragons office after having explained to his front desk on three occasions the situation at hand Dr Dragon asked if I had any questions for him once he completed my daughters exam and when I asked him about his office contacting my insurance to confirm my daughters prescription has indeed changed in order for them to pick up the bill as they have in the passed (early exam due to her eye sight changing) he practily took my head off. He was so rude. I felt like he had forgotten he was at work caring for patients. I will not be seeing him ever again nor will my family. I sure do hope he is able to control his temper and smart mouth in the future. Maybe I just got him on a bad day.
