I have been a patient of Dr. Keith Newby since 2011 and I must say he is an excellent doctor. His mannerisms and care for his patients is incredible. But I must say his practice manager, and scheduling team is horrible. It’s bad enough you have to wait months and months to get an appointment to be seen. I made an appointment two months in advance in April 2021 for June 2021 received multiple email confirmations and all just to arrive after taking time from my job I work hard at for them to tell me I’m not on the schedule. The woman at the front desk really didn’t care to check into this mistake didn’t try yo accommodate my time by checking to see if I could be squeezed in after showing and asking who sends out these email reminders and confirmations for the appointments all she could say was I don’t know, the office manager was NO HELP she was just as worse, asking me to forward the email to her work email cause it may be a software problem, I mean what and how is this helping me at this point. I’m trying yo be seen and couldn’t. Then scheduled me for another appointment 3 months out. Are you serious. This place is a joke now!!! I’ll never go back. Very inconsiderate, unprofessional, non-caring staff. This is the staff that represents this black doctor. SAD SAD SAD. I will continue care with the Caucasians at least I know they will go out there way yo accommodate their patients.

Popular doctor. Nice, business owner that owns other businesses in town. Spreads himself thin and overlooks basic medical concepts. Negligence in reviewing test results and interpretations of tests that result in near death

Doctor Newby is taking care of my mother since we relocated to Virginia. He has been recommended to me by one of our helpful neighbors who also sees him for his condition. I'm very grateful for the recommendation. Dr Newby's medical office has excellent location with easy parking (lots of handicap spots) and elevators. The waiting room is large with comfy seats and television. We never have to wait long to be seen once we check in. The medical and office staff is always very officiant, friendly and professional. Most importantly Dr Newby is the highlight of it all. He is patient, understanding, concerned and sincerely wanting to improve his patient's quality of life. I have heard on many occasions, exiting patients happily tell their loved once who arrived with them, that they have been taken off additional meds because they are feeling better. I'm glad my mother is under care of a physician who looks for better choices of medication instead of overmedicating. The recommendations (such as test for sleep apnea) and medication reevaluation Dr Newby has made, have improved my 80 year old mother's quality of life. If you need heart doctor (cardiology, cardiovascular, heart disease etc) than look no farther because this doctor has a lot of heart.
