Didn't even want to wash her hands before taking a look at my child. Then she gets mad and wants to argue when my wife pointed it out. Unsanitary and disgusting!
I'm writing this to warn all parents to NOT take your children to this provider. This woman diagnosed me with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome back when I was 16 due to some symptoms my mother and I told her I was having. Mind you I was on hormonal birth control at the time, and not ONCE did she do extensive testing for this. No ultrasounds and the rule is (that I found out later on through an adult endocrinologist) that you HAVE to be off of your hormonal birth control to be PROPERLY tested for pcos. Birth control suppresses your androgen levels and makes for a not proper test reading. She never told me this. I went through my entire teenage life and early adulthood telling doctors and people I knew that I had this disease. WELL, come to find out I do NOT have this, the symptoms I were having was relating to genetics and medications I was taking at the time. I just feel upset that I went through my whole young life being told I had a disease that I did not have. An adult endocrinologist finally took me off my birth control and I found out I had all normal labs. I was always skeptical of this diagnosis because I've have normal periods my whole life. I also had an ultrasound and showed normal non cystic ovaries. This woman told me I had MILD PCOS when I did in fact not. I feel like she doesn't do the extensive testing it takes to find out what people have going on. This is malpractice in my opinion and if you are smart you will NOT take your children to this woman.
Our 3 year old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 23 months old. We have had the pleasure of having Dr. Satin-Smith manage her care. She’s an excellent doctor with a very relaxed, calming bedside manner who truly listens to us, gives us direction in her care while also supporting decisions that we make as well. I would highly, highly recommend her should you be in need of a child endocrinologist. She’s the best!
I don’t really think my concerns were heard. Just bits and pieces as she would cut me off and not really listen. She would tell me my concerns were nothing and wanted me to go home and stop searching for a problem.
Words cannot express how grateful and blessed we are to have Dr Satin Smith as our physician. She is caring, knowledgeable, and always available. My number one concern was going through this process and feeling like my daughter wasn't a priority but I ALWAYS feel like I'm her number one and 1st patient of the day. My daughter is doing well and I know it's because of Dr. Satin Smith.
One of the best period. I was diagnosed when I was 7 at CHKD with type 1 and my grandmother was my right hand through it all with dr.satin-smiths guidance. I'm 29 now and havent seen her in a very long time. Wish I could still see her as my adult doctor. nobody cared more about my diabetes than she did. Thanks dr I have yet to be in the hospital from it thanks to you're guidance. - Justin Baggett.
Very knowledgeable, professional and has a great bedside manner!
This hospital is the best of the best. It helped me staying alive while I was close to being unconscious. If your kid needs anything to get help you should consider this wonderful place your first option
My daughter was a patient of Dr. Satin Smith from the age of 1.5 to age 13. She was always kind, personable and patient. She always took the time to explain test results to my daughter. We absolutely loved her and to be honest my daughter was pretty sad when she was told that she didn't need to see Dr. Satin Smith anymore because she was doing so well. Even so she still allowed my daughter to stop by her office and say hello.
My daughter wouldn't be where she is without the good doctor

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
