I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Scott! He has been an amazing pediatrician for my 2 month old; she was born premature and breech and he has been extremely through in his care and is always willing to answer any and all questions, actually he encourages them! I could not ask for a better caregiver for my daughter.

Dr. Vergano can be insensitive and absolutely unnecessarily blunt in his communications with others, causing them otherwise totally avoidable pain. Even if he declined a request, he need not hurt a person's feelings. He may know medicine inside and out. His communication skills, however, are very crude.

Dr. Vergano is the best pediatrician my daughter has ever seen. I went through 6 before finding him. My daughter had reflux and every doctor we saw wanted to run tests on her and medicate her. I was a FTM and never heard of babies with reflux. Dr. Vergano spent quite a bit of time going over every aspect I would need to know about naturally dealing with reflux. Everything he suggested worked, no tests needed, no meds. On another occassion she broke out in a strange rash. Dr. V was off so I requested another pedi who had been at the practice the longest 25+ years of experience. He couldn't figure out what it was. Took her back a few days later to Dr. V...one look and he knew exactly what it was. Even went and got a text book to read me what it said about it. Once she was throwing up at 2 months old. Couldn't keep anything down. Took her to chkd and saw two doctors they said it was reflux and gave per meds. Took her to Dr. V the next day and he took one listen to her stomach and told me it was a stomach bug and explained why he felt that way/what he heard. He was right, the next day I was sick with a stomach bug that I caught from her. He always explains in detail why he is checking certain things so I can understand and explains in detail his diagnosis. He is amazing. I could go on and on.

Staff is very rude. They are not kind or accomadating in any way. They can wait to tell you NO and hang up the phone. Watch your bills too! I have found them charging copays when they shouldn't and not reimbursing. They also bill insurance for anything and everything they to get money. Dr Verdone is kind and and patient. But, the MD really have no say or know billing or staff problems, they just work there.

Dr. Scott always treats us and our son with respect and care. He truly cares about his patients and will go out of his way to show his concern. Cannot recommend him enough. Really a great doctor--compassionate, knowledgeable, friendly, awesome with kids, competent, concerned.
