List of The Group For Women's Reviews
I have seen 5 of their doctors. They have all been amazing, each of them have their own option and do things semi-differently even though they are all employees of the same practice. I love how they listen to your complaints and offer help before sending you to an infertility doctor. I’ve been able to get pregnant multiple times thanks to them not giving up! The only thing that is pushing me to stop going is the fact that I can never get ahold of the office to schedule! I’ve spent 1+ hours on hold multiple times in a given day (I was hoping if I called back at a different time then They wouldn’t be so busy) . It makes me hesitant to go through another pregnancy with them because I am high risk and I literally cannot even get ahold of scheduling or a nurse. I don’t live locally so I cannot just show up to the office if I need them. Also I have waited 45-70 minutes past my appointment time to be seen, even a telehealth that was scheduled at 8:30am the doctor didn’t show up till 9:45am.
Dr. Wentworth is the nicest and most professional physician. The office staff was also very professional and kind. They were thorough and I never felt rushed. Highly recommend this office.
The staff and Dr Alexa Piscioni of The Group for Women were wonderful. From my initial phone call to schedule the appointment to the appointment with Dr Piscioni was very patient focused. I felt that my issues were listened to
I absolutely love this center. They are always looking for what best helps you as the patient. Tammy has been my doctor for four years now and I could not suggest anyone more. She is empathetic and always validated your concerns.
I gotta give credit when credit is due. Dr Harris Proctor is an A1 physician! Not only was the office able to get me in the same exact day for a concern I was freaking out about. Dr Proctor provided me with insight and all the information need to make an informed decision. She talked to me as if I was her daughter. I couldn't be any more grateful for the time spent explaining to me and the care given. Don't you guys ever lose her. It would be detrimental to the practice.
Gosh! This place is absolutely ridiculous to get ahold of. I called this location purely on word of mouth- I was told "They're the best!!" Yeah right!!!!! After almost an entire week of trying to call and make an appointment, I had my husband call today to wait on hold until someone finally came on the phone VS leaving a voicemail like I had been doing. Good news is, he finally spoke to someone. But not only did they NOT have any availability for the times I was available- he asked if there was availability in May (we are in Feb) and the representative said, "we only schedule 3 months out." Well... uhm, last time I checked May is exactly 3 months away from now.... So in the end, she was unable to set an appointment... total waste of time and I will not be coming to this practice- EVER. I called another OBGYN in Chesapeake, with even better reviews, and easily made an appointment. This was the worst experience I've ever had trying to even make an appointment. I'd be scared to see what it'd be like to get ahold of them for something else!
I had my first appointment appointment there today. I arrived early and everything went as scheduled. Dr. Wentworth took his time and explained to me everything that he was doing. It was a nice visit.
i am only rating 2 stars because i like the staff and i love my dr… BUT i can never get anyone on the phone. ever. the line just rings and rings and rings and repeats itself “thank you for calling the group for women, all of our triage nurses are assisting other patients, your call will be answered in which it was received, please stay on the line.” it doesn’t stop doing that. it’s constant. i understand if it was an emergency i need to go to the hospital or call 911, but what if i don’t know something is actually wrong… hence why i’m calling my doctors office that doesn’t ever answer the phone. i came here because this is where my mom came when she was pregnant. after i have this baby (if i decide to have another) i will not be coming back to this office. if it wasn’t for these phones never getting answered i’d absolutely love it. the staff is sweet. my doctor is amazing but i’m just so fed up. even when i left a message for the on call doctor they never returned my call, and this time there was actually something wrong.
Attention militaty members and spouses! these people do mot accept tricare. They will lie to you on the phone and say they do, you get your referral set up and then they tell you they don't accept your insurance at the appointment...this is what happened to my wife worse yet she had already taken time off of work to go. Even worse they said "You can always pay out of pocket," after delivering her this news of not accepting our insurance. What an insult.
Tammy is absolutely amazing! She is kind, professional, caring, and easy to talk to. During your visit you feel like you are her only patient that day. I always feel as though my concerns are met with genuine concern and care. Would recommend her to anyone!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
