Devon Shick's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Shick has been the medical provider for me and my husband. We joined her practice when she was located on Cedar Rd. Chesapeake. My husband and I were very pleased to follow her to the new location which is closer to where we live.

I love her she never chastize me if my a1c is high she dhas a conversation with me. She keeps me healthy and wanting to go back. Love her

Dr. Shick was my family physician for many yrs. She is very intelligent, thorough in her care for you, and always has a smile. She managed my cardiac, blood thinners, and BP medications. She also managed my diabetes and skin issues. I found out today that she is leaving Bayside Physicians or maybe just going to another location. It broke my heart that she’s living. She is a gem of a doctor!!! I will miss being cared for by her and will also miss her big smile!!!

Dr. Shick always listened to my concerns regarding my special needs son. We worked together to figure out the best way possible what was going on and how to address the issue.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shick’s for years and she is fantastic. However, the staff at Cedar Rd Family Associates has gone downhill. The nurses are rude, the nurse practitioner is not knowledgeable (she wrote a prescription for bacitracin and she messed up my husband’s blood pressure medicine) and the front desk staff do not give information like only one person is allowed in the room, which is new since June 2021, so not really Covid related.

Dr. Shick I have to say is amazing. I have struggled a long time with chronic fybromyalgia along with pnes and Deval other health problems. There was a time when I was in so much pain every day that I couldn't sleep and I took an act of congress to get through my day. I don't think there was a day I didn't cry. I was on 10 different medications 3 times a day. One of them being 3200mgs of gabapentine a day. When I went to Dr. Shick we spoke for 1.5 hours. Before I knew it I was down to 2 medications a day. Completely off the gabapentin. My daily pain and zero life activity went from 9 to 10 every day to 2 to 3 daily and no more seizures and my daily activities is a yes. I haven't felt so good in so long. I thank God for guiding me to her. She is wonderful and amazing.

Dr. Shick is thorough and very intelligent. She listens and does her best to meet your health needs. She has been my primary care physician for over 5 yrs. I highly recommend her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shick for nearly three yeas. I find her to be knowledgeable, thorough and very friendly. I have had nothing but positive experiences with her.

my experience with Dr Schick was a nightmare! I went in to her with a swollen and painful ankle. I will say that I am overweight and diabetic. But I take care of myself... my numbers are always good... and my A1C is also good. I went into her 4 times over a month. I told EVERY time that I thought something was broken. She no that nothing was broken.... and that I should WALK on it more! She never looked past the diabetes.. never listened to what I had to say. I sat in my car and sobbed that last time. I went to a patient first on my way home. They IMMEDIATELY took an exray... It was broken.By this time EVERY metatarsil in my foot was dislocated... and that bulge? It was a bone trying to push out!!! So surgery, metal plates and over 30 screws. Over a YEAR in casts.. 6 months of it non weight bearing.I will always have to wear some sort of a brace and walk with a painful limp.
