List of Andrew M. Axelrad's Reviews
Everything from the receptionist to the doctor and the technicians all was great!
Consistent professional care annd service
All aspects of visit and all team members were awesome.
Have had positive experiences with procedures; physician is not personable but seemed extremely competent. Impossible to makes schedules for routine procedures - wants to hand patients off to physician's assistant or LPN, only by video, and with an hour check-in before. This puts a huge burden on the patient to get to a location to attend a video call - - completely "physican-centric" with no appreciation of the needs of the clients
Dr Axlerad and staff were efficient and courteous threw the entire visit.
I saw Dr. Axelrad years ago when I first got diagnosed with Gastroparesis. It was not so common then and it was hard finding a GI that could understand how debilitating it had become and work with me on a treatment plan. Well, I was sitting in his office nervously waiting for him, as most patients do, upon meeting a dr. for the first time. He opened the door, didn’t introduce himself but said something that haunted me for years, “ I see you are on Seroquel. Are you Schizophrenic?” He said it with disdain. I answered him truthfully, No. I use it for sleep disturbances. It was all written down on my pages and pages of paper work. We started talking about the real issue; my health, but he started asking me more questions about all of my medications. I understand that is part of an assessment, but whenever a “ mental health medication “ came up, he thoroughly questioned me.He called his wife in to tell me to leave. I was discriminated against for having mental illness.
Dismissive, insulting and did not follow-up on test results. Only doctor appointment that I almost walked out of, because he was so rude. There's a reason he does colonoscopies with people who are not awake.
Another 5 stars for dr. Axelrad. My mother needed an endoscopic procedure to remove bile duct stones prior to having her gallbladder removed. The doctor was timely, personable, explained things so my mom understood them, and carried out a beautiful, textbook procedure which, despite intubation and endoscopy, left her with absolutely no associated procedural pain. Astonished by his professionalism and care.
I recently underwent an endoscopy and a colonoscopy with Dr. Axelrad. He took his time before and after both procedures to explain what he would be doing and what he found, as well as for me to ask questions. He and his staff did a great job of making me feel welcome and relaxed, and both procedures were easy and uneventful. I plan to see him again for future routine colonoscopies.
Dr. Axelrad and his team explained my health issues and upcoming colonoscopy extremely well. They put me at ease, knowing that caring and experienced professionals were there for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
