Augustine A Dolcich Md's Online Review Report Card

I was seeing Dr. Dolcich for 5 years in NOVA. His attention to detail, his explanations for diagnosis as well as medication being prescribed was by far the best experience one can expect from a doctor. We recently moved out of VA and I will miss seeing him.

If there is a long wait it is always worth it. Dr D is patient, kind and his knowledge is diverse.

Based on misunderstandings in his written responses, doesn’t appear to be really listening to medical questions asked of him.

Dr. Dolcich is a great man and wonderful doctor, however, his office has some serious issues. I’ve been going there for about 10 years now and recently the office has gone extremely down hill. It is impossible to reach the office without being on hold for over 30 min. The last time I called I was on hold for 45 min to finally be answered by an extremely rude staff member who hung up on me and didn’t have the courtesy to call back. It’s a shame because Dr. Dolcich is great, but unfortunately I had to switch doctors because of all the problems his staff was causing.

No problems with the staff, the med assistance and nurses. Its not a small office so they can get busy with surges of patients and calls. I never had to wait long though. Because they are not a small office, you can see another doctor or practitioner if your primary is not available. Dr Dolcich takes the time to understand your condition and explain the diagnoses. He will even draw it out on the tissue paper on the bench (which I have kept for later reference) And he is a nice person.

Useless! Likes to talk to much without listening to your concerns. When you asking a questing his answer is google it and educate your self. Insane! Worst doctor ever!

Dr Augistine is the only doctor I have ever had that listens and allows me to partcipate in my own health. He inspires me in a lot of ways and is a GREAT doctor. Any poor reviews could only be by someone who has the wrong ideas and expectations of what a quality healthcare doctor should be.

I have been a patient with Dr. Augustine for over 20 years. At that time, he used to work at the Reston Hospital. Since then, he has changed a few practices. He is a great doctor who spends time with his patients getting to know them and diagnose in a friendly way. He is not like many doctors who come for a couple of minutes and let their nurses do the entire treatment. I think he is great doctor and the best one that I have come across. The only reason that I am giving him four starts is because I have to always wait a long time for him which can be discouraging.

Dr. Dolcich really loves being a Dr. and every diagnosis he has made for me has been spot-on. I have actually doubted and seen a specialist and his assessment was correct. He was my husband's Dr. and when my GP at that time couldn't figure out my back pain issue. Dr. Dolcich had me go through some simple movements describing where my pain was and how severe it was. Long story short, he sent me for Physical Therapy and I was able to walk freely again and even exercise. He really cares about patients welfare and he is very friendly. Yes, he runs late but like another review said, you can be sure he is giving the previous patient the same excellent care.
