Dr Hope is the best! Following an ER visit, pain management appointments with epidural injections, CT scan, xrays, and MRI, I was referred to Dr. Hope. After a consultation for pain and weakness in my back and left leg and physical therapy with no improvement, Dr. Hope recommended a laminectomy and discectomy to my lumbar. Surgery was complete in less than an hour and I was home within 3 hours from the start of surgery (with an hour of traffic in the ride home). Dr. Hope and his nurse, Monica are kind, gentle, and caring. They are thorough in providing you with information necessary pre-and post-op. Dr. Hope came very highly recommended to me and I highly recommend him to others. Thank you, Dr. Hope, Nurse Monica and team.

I was referred to Dr. Hope by my pain management dr for a herniated disk in my neck. She said he was excellent, and would not agree to recommend surgery if it wasn't warranted. I was not disappointed. I saw him over the period of several months. In the end, we both agreed that I did need surgery. My experience was excellent, and would not hesitate to recommend him, or return to him the in the future, if needed for additional surgery. Office staff is outstanding - they do what the say they will do, without reminding. The office is a well oiled machine.

Dr. hope performed a laminectomy on my L5-S1 with fantastic results. He was nothing but informative and kind to me, discussed things with my spouse before and after the surgery, and rearranged his schedule to get me in as soon as possible due to the tremendous amount of pain I was in. He was knowledgeable and sympathetic. Nothing but praise for this doctor.

I can only echo others' glowing words about Dr. Hope. He's not a surgeon who rushes a patient into surgery, but if surgery is in fact necessary, he's truly the best. It helps that he's a kind and compassionate physician. His office staff is fantastic as well. I'm eternally grateful to Dr. Hope for advocating for me and for sending my miserable nerve pain on its way!

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Hope my hero!!! I walked into his office in tears from the pain. He did some physical tests on me and was able to determine that I had a herniated C6/7 disk before the MRI confirmed it. He did not say I needed surgery asap rather he checked in with me through all my Physical Therapy sessions and Epidural Shots at the Pain Center. Once the second injection wore off I knew immediately that surgery was necessary! He was so confident that I was at ease going into surgery. The minute I woke up from surgery I felt so much better! I am thankful every day to Dr. Hope that I am not in pain anymore and that my recovery has been great!!!

Dr Hope and his outstanding team were above and beyond in every category. He took the time to explain all of my options prior to surgery and always was available to answer my follow up questions/concerns. The surgery support team (Monica, Rachel, Hannah, and the No Va Surgery Center) were fantastic. Everyone made you feel like you were part of their family. On the mend, pain is gone, feeling tremendously fortunate to have Dr Hope in my world. Thank you.

My experience with Dr. Hope was fantastic from beginning to end. He was responsive (regular phone calls to check in post-surgery), flexible (very willing to work with my unusual schedule), and thorough (handled possible complications specific to my situation with caution). I'm now three months out from my lumbar microdiscectomy and recovery is going great! I would recommend Dr. Hope and his staff without hesitation.

For many months severe neck issues caused numbness in my arm and other effects. Dr Hope encouraged me to exercise my neck and take PT. After months without improvement, I was convinced surgery was inevitable, but Dr Hope encouraged me again to do a bit more PT before committing to surgery as he was fairly confident it would heal itself. He wasn't saying 'no', just encouraged me to do just a little bit more. In total, it was almost a year since the issue first appeared. And alas, Dr Hope was absolutely correct. I'm not sure what happened, but my neck issue went from bad to worse and then almost instantaneously healed itself. I am thankful to have been guided by Dr Hope and to have avoided neck and spine surgery. Given that Dr Hope could have made a lot of $ performing surgery shows that his goal is the health of the patient. I would give 6 stars if I could. Truly, thank you Dr. Hope!

Dr. Hope and his staff are the BEST!!! Was in a lot of pain from ruptured disk in neck and Dr. Hope's office got me in quickly. Setup pain management same day! Dr. Hope gave my neck a chance to heal on its own, but after a few weeks determined nerve damage was too pronounced and quickly setup surgery. Had outpatient surgery for the disk! Gave me a very accurate assessment of what post-op discomfort would be like and what to do. Was feeling a 10 pain level before seeing Dr. Hope, feeling like I could cartwheel now!

My entire experience with Dr. Hope and his staff was top notch for my lumbar laminectomy and discectomy. The consultation was pretty straightforward; Dr. Hope assessed my MRI and history and was very confident that surgery would be the best chance of getting me on the road to recovery as quickly as possible. He was right. I felt really well prepared by Dr. Hope and his staff as far as what to do beforehand, including filling prescriptions in advance, and what to expect during and after the procedure. Both he and Monica, his nurse, checked in everyday at least once or twice the first few days after surgery to see how I was doing and were very responsive to my questions and concerns. I also was able to contact them via cell phone at any time in case anything was wrong, which really put me at ease. Dr. Hope and his staff are responsive, caring, personable, and extremely competent. I am almost four weeks out from surgery and doing really well. I can see why my referring doctors both highly recommended him. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would!
