Dr Ahmed is a very competent doctor. He is very knowledgeable and precise in both his technique and discussion with the patient. I would recommend him highly.

Dr. Ahmen removed cataracts in both eyes. He was very thorough and provided answers to my questions. He set expectations so I would be prepared and comfortable with the process. The office staff is friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend them.

Dr. Ahmed is great! He performed my cataract surgery a few years ago and everything went so well. I have seen him since for routine examinations, and for other eye related problems. Last week I had a frighteningly red eye: Sarah, from his staff in Reston was wonderful . Dr. Ahmed was able to see me that day. Yesterday I experienced an excellent cataract surgery by Dr. Ahmed. The preparation via communication, written and spoken was superb. One day later my result is perfect. The Reston Surgery center was thorough and calming and ticked every box for superior care. I highly recommend Dr. Ahmed for the laser method of cataract surgery and his excellent staff for the preparation and easy to follow directions. As a former practice management consultant for many medical and dental practices, I have very high standards. I could not be happier with my results.

After research of six well respected and referred Ophthalmologists, I was so impressed with Dr. Ahmed at our first meeting, I decided on the spot that his calm, professional demeanor coupled with his excellent education and training was the one. I was 100% right! He and his staff are on time, friendly, explain things clearly and prepare you for the surgical procedure and required testing that is part of getting the very best results from the procedure you require. Dr. Ahmed removed the cataract in my right eye which had dimmed and blurred my vision for some years, as well as, corrected astigmatism, near and far distance using Femtosecond Laser-assisted Cataract Surgery and lens implant. He visited me briefly in pre-surgery ward which was very reassuring and after the procedure was done. I experienced no adverse affects and no pain after surgery. Post surgical check up showed excellent results and this is the first time in my life that I can see clearly and sharply.

Dr. Ahmed handled my cataract surgery and he and his staff were responsive, reassuring, professional and informative at every step. Recovery was easier than I expected. My advice to others is -- don't wait too long to get cataract surgery. I probably waited 6 months too long and it is so nice to be able to see better. As an aside, once you do see better, you realize your house is not as clean as you think!!!!
