Worst infectious disease doctor ever. Sent me home from Reston Hospital with an antibiotic (Augmentin) that DID NOT target my wound infection bacteria (even though a blood culture was taken) and that gave me intolerable diarrhea. When I called to complain about that antibiotic, she arbitrarily prescribed another one that still did not target the bacteria, nor did she mention what was found in the blood culture. Thus, my wound infection continued to get worse and spread such that I had to go back to another ER (Fair Oaks Hospital), which luckily had a Wound Care Center. Fair Oaks immediately took a wound sample, analyzed it as soon as they could, had an Excellent staff Infectious Disease doctor (Dr. Weinroth) prescribe the correct antibiotic, and had their staff plastic surgeon do an I&D on my leg, gave me a Wound-VAC, and sent me home AFTER my wound was healing. But if it was up to Nutankalva & Reston Hospital, I could have died or had my leg amputated.
Excellent quality care and staff. Dr Nutankalva was excellent during two hospital crises for me - during a period of time where I had to deal with some serious health issues while being very disorganized myself. Nutankalva and her support staff were excellent throughout (both hospital care from Dr N and multiple office visits after), made sure I was doing what needed to be done, and I'd definitely recommend.
I was very impressed with Dr. Nutankalva and would recommend her to my very best friends.
Dr didnt know what to prescribe me for an infection that is apparently a very common infection, so she sat in front of me looking on Google what prescription to take that is safe with breastfeeding. I had her send the prescription to the pharmacy, and to get a 2nd opinion from the pharmacist, I asked if the item prescribed was safe to take while breastfeeding. The pharmacist said that it is not safe to take while breastfeeding, and that I would have to do a "pump and dump" while on the medicine. I then followed the pharmacist's recommendation by calling my doctor who referred me to Dr. Nutankalva, and she said to not take the medicine at all. If I didn't check with the pharmacist and my doctor, and take it as prescribed. It could have affected my breastfed baby. If I have to go to another ID doctor again in the future (hoping I won't), I will be choosing to go to a different doctor since she didn't know what to prescribe that's safe. Also, when I received the billing statement, I called the clinic office to pay the bill, which apparently had to be done by calling the billing department at a different phone number ( the person at attempted front desk said that I could call the clinic office to pay for the bill). When she gave me the billing department number, I attempted to call the billing department number several times in one day, throughout the day, and no one answered... I only got a message stating that the mailbox was full. Then, the next several days, and I still am unable to reach the billing department. Please look for another doctor who has more knowledge.
This doctor gave me inaccurate test results. Poor communicator.
I had no issues with Dr. Nutankalva while I was in the hospital. However, afterwards I had issues with billing. I received the bill and called the office to ask some questions. Despite leaving a message and asking that someone call me back, no one did. Additionally, my only options to pay were by mailing in a check or my credit card information. Its 2019. There should be an online bill pay option or a way to pay by phone.
Dr Nutankalva saved my father's life. She is exceptional in her field, is easy to talk to, and is very caring. We worked with her for over a month in the hospital. She can be intimidating at first because she is tall and beautiful. Don't let that fool you, she is extremely skilled. I would recommend her highly.
I was screened for STDs by this doctor and when the results came back to her, she called and informed me all tests came back negative. Once my results became available online, I looked at them and saw one test came back positive. I reached back out to her office to report this discrepancy and she emailed me back more or less saying "she had just seen that" and that she had meant to call me back about it, however neither her nor or her office did such. Who knows many other patients she's been careless with like this!!!

This woman is negligent and unprofessional

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
