List of Nisha R Patel's Reviews
I scheduled an appointment to see the doctor at 10:30AM. I was quickly taken back for some initial testing and questioning by an assistant where I was told that the doctor was not yet in the office. This was no big deal at first, people sometimes run behind. After 11 I asked when the doctor would be coming in to which the front desk employee told me she would let her know that I had been there for over half an hour. The doctor walked into the office around 11:30AM. After asking others in the office, this seemed to be a common occurrence. I guess only see dr patel if you have at least two hours to spare. Front desk staff was kindly apologetic and suggested that I schedule an afternoon appointment in the future that way the doctor will have already arrived. I was told over the phone when scheduling my appt that my appointment in total would take about an hour, not that I would wait an entire hour before the doctor arrived.
Dr. Patel was recommended to me by a friend. Have been her patient for several years now. She is very professional but also very compassionate and friendly. I had cataract surgery and eyelids lifted. Very pleased with both surgeries. Very nice office and easy to find both locations.
I have been visiting Dr Patel for almost 15 years now. Consistently provides great care !!!
Amazing experience. Dr. Patel did not over promise. My hope was to wear glasses with prescriptions for less expensive lens and progressives if necessary. I've worn glasses most of my life, 49 years. Now, I occasionally ONLY need reading glasses and have a mild eye glass prescription for glasses that I plan to purchase later to have for when I experience eye strain from reading excessively for work. I very pleased. Now, that I can see much better, my hope is to learn to swim better now that I can see!
For those of you that are reluctant, let me tell you about my experience with Dr. Nisha R. Patel. I was having trouble getting glasses that would make my job enjoyable again. I am an engineer and do a lot of computer and hands on work) and no mater what the prescription, I could not see without positioning my head just right for a clear view, and inevitably, the glasses would move and I would have to start over. Dr. Patel informed me that I had cataracts but that she could help. I was a little nervous about operating on my eyes but her confidence and demeanor convinced me. I chose the PanOptix lens as it would allow me to never have to use glasses again!! it has been about nine months since my second surgery, my vision is better than 20/20 and I can actually enjoy working again! thanks Dr. Patel!!
Disappointed to say the least. I arrived on time for my 10:45am appointment, first thing, not even a hello, collection for payment. I haven't even seen anyone yet. I told them I would pay at the end of my visit as my husband had forgotten my healthcare account card, he was going home to pick it up, but they would not let me see anyone, and I was unaware of this, just waiting, after an hour, I asked when I'd be seen, to this the receptionist replied until you pay you won't be able to see anyone. Meanwhile Dr Nisha casually walks in at 11:15 so she wasn't even at the practice. When I finally spoke with her, she could see I was visibly upset, but she didn't care, she told me if I needed to surgically drain my eyelid (chalazion) she wasn't going to do this, apparently her patients can't tell her what to do, or even what they want done. She told me, I should find someone else. What a waste of time. In my opinion she just wants to milk people and create pointless follow ups, no empathy, just a lot of arrogance, don't waste your time. As a healthcare professionals I deeply care about my patients, collecting payment from them is not my priority, their health and wellbeing is.
Just had my second eye done for Cataracts & laser. I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Patel explained my options & I was on my way to eliminating glasses after 26 years. Her staff has been extremely helpful & the two Ofc. locations are easy to access. Her knowledge & professionalism are a “win win” for any patient. I highly recommend Dr. Patel.
I had cataract surgery with Dr. Patel. My eyes and vision are now wonderful. She has excellent management skills, and a clear, concise communication style. Her office is managed with a deep respect for COVID guidelines, which means a lot to me. It was refreshing to meet a confident, skilled doctor, who is a team player.
Dr. Patel is an extremely talented eye surgeon and very thorough in researching best options for patients to see as best as they can. I have severe myopia and I was referred to Dr. Patel for ICLs (I was not a candidate for any other eye improvement surgery). I couldn't believe I could see without wearing glasses! 8 years later I developed cataract in one eye. Dr. Patel researched all the lens options for me- I was going to go with the most expensive one, but Dr. Patel wanted to make sure due to my eye irregularities and it turned out that the mono lens was be the best fit for my eye (which happened to be the one covered completely by my insurance). I had my cataract surgery just over a week ago and I am seeing 20/20 again! By Dr. Patel's reaction at my post op, she was just as happy as I was. I'm probably the worst adult patient due to severe anxiety over medical procedures, and Dr. Patel calmly talks me through it and makes sure there are helpers to hold my hand. Love her.
My surgery and follow up care have been excellent

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
