The care and attention I received was fantastic. I would highly recommend for any GYN care.
Dr. D is a goddess who is truly working in her God-given gift. She is a healer and genuinely cares about women’s bodies. I am a business owner and could not be out from managing my busy Southern California private practice for 6-10 weeks. Dr. D was able to perform my Dualport hysterectomy in an outpatient facility, during COVID, and I was back to work in 10 days. Nothing but over the counter ibuprofen by day 2 and no pain meds by day 4. By 2 weeks I’d forgotten that I’d even had surgery. She did no harm to my body and now I am back running and exercising daily at 5 weeks p.o. Even though my insurance did not cover the surgery, I was willing to travel from LA to Maryland because I value my quality of life, and doctor who listens and is innovative and I do not regret my decision. Best money ever spend. Thanks so much Dr. D you are a blessing.
I had a successful surgery with Dr D about 4 years ago and decided to see them again when similar symptoms began to appear last May. I ended up meeting with their PA at the MD office who was nice but ignored signs that I had lost a substantial amount of blood due to my condition (headaches, shortness of breath, excessive paleness) and should have received medial treatment. When I asked if my headaches were a concern, she just said visit your PCP. When I did that the next day, my PCP admitted me to the ER for 2 blood transfusions due to excessive blood loss. While this office is great at resolving issues surgically, I do not feel they are appropriate at initial consultations for concerns. It is best to see a general OBGYN and then see this team for specialized surgeries through a second consultation.
I had a great experience and finally felt like I was taken seriously by a doctor. The office and coordinating staff was helpful and timely. Surgery went well, I'm just waiting for the bills. They used an out of network company to provide OR techs so I hope it's not too expensive.
Horrible time management. I waited over 30mins for my appointments and no one told me that doctor was running late. After 30mins i walked out as i couldn't wait much longer. Never got to see the doctor and staff never apologized. Poor service overall.
I do not recommend this place; when I called to schedule receptionist told me to fill out paperwork online so I didn't have to do anything else when I arrived. My appointment was at 1:20pm this past Saturday. I filled out the forms at least a week before and I also sent my past medical records before my appointment. I arrived at 1:00pm, receptionist gives me more paperwork to fill out (even though I did it all online) but okay it's cool. I wait for like 20 minutes and then a nurse YELLS my name, she didn't even come out she literally yelled my name and I looked at the receptionist who was like: go through the door the nurse is calling you (how am I supposed to guess who's calling me?) but okay, all cool. Nurse takes my blood pressure, she doesn't say HI GOOD AFTERNOON, nothing, just "follow me" "sit on that chair" "doctor will be with you in a minute" BUT OKAY it's all COOL. Here is when I got mad, at least an HOUR GOES BY no one comes to my room. no one. I live almost 2 hours away and I had another appointment after this one, but not only that, the whole time I was sitting there I could hear people walking past my room, talking, laughing, and my boyfriend who was sitting in the waiting room told me there was absolutely no one else waiting, which I don't care if they were or not cause why schedule an appointment and tell me to arrive early if you're not gonna see me at the scheduled time? I don't care if you have more patients or not, I was told to be at a certain time and I was don't make me wait for an hour!!! Anyway I left the practice super mad, and TODAY I received a call from a rude lady who just said: "so we know you left early on saturday, would like to reschedule that?" WHAT? I left early?? not even a SORRYYYY we were super busy" nothing, no one apologized to me for all this, and when I said no I would not like to reschedule she was like OH OKAY BYE. Super rude practice and I will make sure to not recommend it to anyone and they better not file my insurance cause that's illegal! I didn't keep that appointment! - Marcela
The surgeons here are well qualified and will likely do the best job of anyone doing your surgery. However, the office staff and the outpatient center they work with are often a mess. I requested to know up front the out of pocket cost after my insurance covers their portion; they didn't know and didn't try to figure it out. My pre-op blood work was completed but no one actually checks it. I reviewed my own results and was concerned about the results but figured a medical professional would review them and call me if something were wrong. The day before my surgery I finally asked the pre-op center who called me to make sure I knew my responsibilities of not eating/drinking or driving myself to surgery, etc. I asked if anyone reviewed my bloodwork results and was told, "ma'am, the doctor and staff reviewed it and are fully prepared"; in a slightly condescending tone as if I shouldn't be questioning it. So I said "ok, then this procedure is ok to do on a pregnant female?". The attitude and tone completely changed as the pre-op specialist began to pull up my records to see for herself. She then placed me on hold for about 45 mins as she tried to contact the surgeon and his assistant with no luck. I get a call later that evening from the surgeons assistant asking me, had I planned this [pregnancy]. This would have been my second surgery with them within 4 years and after seeing a fertility specialist because my husband and I were unsuccessfully conceiving and carrying to term. Of course it was a surprise but to be questioned in that way, they truly didn't review my charts. They did my last surgery and knew fertility was something I struggled with. I soon realized I'm just a number at this place. No one truly looks at an individual's file and history to determine the best course of action. Nope, you're a deposit in their bank account and just another body on the surgery table.
Dr. Natalya Danilyants is the only surgeon i will ever let preform surgery on me from here on out. She somehow removed a HUGE19cm endometria mass that was attached to my bowel, bladder, left ovary and tubes with 3 5mm incisions and i was up and walking not even 3 days later as if i didn't just have surgery. It's been 3 months and i have not had a single pain since my endometriosis has been removed thanks to her. i was in debilitating pain everyday, almost lost my job due to it - i was always sick. always needed a heating pad, always feeling like i was going to throw up. I feel like she actually gave me my life back in every sense of the word. When i saw the pictures of the endo tissue she removed, i was in absolute shock that she was able to remove all of that with such tiny incisions - every other doctor wanted to remove it by slicing me from my naval past my belly button. Pretty much they all wanted to do an open surgery. I was terrified of having surgery, im only 24 and never had anything done medically like that before. Her staff made me feel sooo comfortable. I could not have been more pleased. I am in no pain now. its been 3 months and my scars are pratically invisible. thank you so much Dr. D. I will continue to tell everyone about your amazing work. you're a miracle surgeon. thanks for giving me my life back.
In September 2014, I was diagnosed with having a huge fibroid in my uterus and cyst on both ovaries during an ER visit. I had no idea this was even present with my annaul visits to my personal OBGYN. I'd recently had a close friend experience a similar condition and she recommended that I reach out to Dr. McKoul's practice and seek further counsel. His office expeditously set me up for a consultation with Dr. McKoul days following my ER visit. Dr. McKoul was very patient and explained what was happening in my body and how he would address my current situation with a special laparoscopic technique that was less invasive and noted for its short recovery time frame. Dr. McKoul's office wasted no time in setting up and scheduling my surgery. Everone was very positive and sensitive to my needs. My procedure was a success and I still have my ovaries and uterus. I've zero issues. I am grateful for Dr. McKoul and his team that performed my surgery. My surgery took place in Rockville, MD at the Innovative GYN Care facility which I found to be an excellent facility. It was clean, not crowded and quiet. The Staff was very professional & highly skilled. Everyone involved came by to explain their role and responsibities which contributed to my positive experience and reduction in the anxiety I was experience from being naturally nervous about it all. I highly recommend Dr. McKoul and the Rockville, MD GYN Care facility to other women of all ages.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
