My counselor was a very kind person, but sessions were very awkward. We ended up just looking at each other sometimes and I'd ask: "What do we do now?" Moments of silence stretched on and on, I felt like I had to have both sides of the conversation. Rapport building, taking the lead and providing structure and direction, and expounding on what I was sharing about were lacking. Mostly just active listening and repeating back to me what I said, and then sat there and stared at me. Went three times, definitely not for me. It's hard to share these things, and this didn't help. Also billing was not a good experience. Dodgy customer service, including another random $50 charge I get in October even though I haven't had a session since beginning of July.

Michael Monahan is an amazing therapist and someone I have come to rely on for guidance and direction. He is helping me tremendously and I cannot thank him enough! Definitely recommend.
