List of Bon Secours Pediatrics Of Richmond's Reviews
Dr Valmores is amazing. He always listens to my concerns and is so gentle with my baby girl. Nurse Shannon is also amazing! Very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. They both have a true passion for children’s health.
I've called 12 times no answer.
We (three kids) have been with Dr. Valmores since 2019. He is really by far the best pediatrician I have experienced, most importantly my kids are comfortable with him. It is always a pleasant experience for wellness exams. He is thorough and attentive. We are never rushed. For sick visits we are able to be seen in a timely manner. Every single one of my concerns, questions, problems, etc are always answered. Shoutout to his amazing nurse Shannon who has always gone above and beyond to meet our needs, and most recently I had a great experience speaking with Beth to have one of my concerns addressed. My kids are not just a number here, Dr. Valmores and his staff really do care about their health and well-being!

Dr valmores has been looking after my daughter since she was a newborn. He is so calm and gentle with her. I love how he listens to what I have to say and takes the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. My daughter is my first child so I am new to all of this and dr valmores has been so helpful. This location is always so clean and staff is always so nice. The nurses are awesome!! Everything about this place is great. Definitely recommend.
Love the staff, they are so great with my kids and treat everyone like family. They are always helpful and run on time. They find a way to accommodate all of my children around the same time to save us time and frustration. 10/10 would recommend
One of the worst hospital (Rapphannock General Hospital, February 2020) experiences I’ve ever had. First I was billed incorrectly (as non insured). So when I received multiple bills at uninsured rates, I was definitely shocked. When I called about the discrepancy I was told by the financial department that they had my insurance listed, but when the card was scanned, it was distorted so they billed it as uninsured. What made it even more appalling is when I asked if they would update the information and send it to the other sources they incorrectly relayed information to, I was told that was MY responsibility. After finally fixing that, I tried to apply for the financial Assistance back in March (after having to research it myself, it was never told to me that the program even existed). I never received a correspondence so I called and was told nothing had been submitted. I then submitted a second time, and was told I didn’t sign my application. After submitting a third time, I was told a few small Cash Apps I’d received we’re considered additional income and they needed letters of explanation. So after a THIRD submission, I was told that I am approved and that I would receive a letter by the 16th of AUGUST. Today is now August 17th (and this is all stemming from a FEBRUARY visit) I called because I still had not received a correspondence, and am now being told they are unsure of who I spoke to but I have NOT been approved and another copy of my bank statement was needed. This information had NEVER been relayed to me in none of the 5 previously placed phone calls. Not only did I receive less than minimal care at RGH (after being told i had heart burn when in reality it was anxiety due to multiple family losses in a short period of time), but the process to get help with a medical bill has been so daunting, that at this point I am considering letting it go to collections and take my loss. Please, don’t waste your time. I thought Bon Secours taking over for RGH would have great initiative in the right direction for our failing health system in this area, but it has proven to be all the same. I will risk my life and drive two hours to Richmond, before I trust my life in their hands again.
For over a month I have been trying to get lab work ordered, that the doctor wants to have done, called to get EEG results that was completed over 3 weeks ago. No returned call...after 5 attempts with "Rush" put on one. On hold for 15 mins. to make an appt. with a different neurologist...no luck yet. My child is taking anti-seizure medicine the doctor doubts she needs. She leaves for college on Monday... I don't recommend Bon Secours for anything.
Right now they need to get all the hospitals opened up. Can't even see my mother, who does not have the virus and who at any moment could pass away. Unless she is "actively" passing, then you can have 1 visitor. But, if you are not on the visitors list you can't see her. For one, how can they have a visitors list if you can't even get in the front door?? Two, what the hell does actuvely passing mean?? I guess the hospital knows exactly when a person is going to pass away?? If I live 15 minutes away and she is actively passing away will I have enough time to see her?? To let her know that we all love her?? I mean if you do have the virus you can have any visitor you want?? Where is the logic in that?? Wait, they must be actuvely passing away. And with a survival rate if 99.9%. Makes sense, right??
Collections calling from (804) 657-3146 harassing me during the pandemic. Please review guidelines. Inappropriate tone from agent. Seriously!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
