List of Bradley Rolfe Md's Reviews
Listens very well and is compassionate. Excellent bedside manner. His nursing staff is also great.
He was rude, arrogant, disrespectful and ignorant of some basic medical facts. Insisted what he was saying was true, showed me the latest recommendations on one medical concern which he clearly had misread. His lack of knowledge is dangerous—if I had taken his advice on either of the 2 medical concerns we “discussed” (he lectured me on) it could have caused heart failure. I know more than he does about some issues but he insisted I was wrong. Accused me of attacking him because I said I disagreed with his misinformation and complete dismissal of what I know about medicine and my own body. I had arranged disability accommodations ahead of time which he abruptly refused to allow. Refused to order needed blood tests or prescribe needed routine meds. Complete waste of my time and emotional energy. I’m writing so that others will know to avoid him at all costs. Staff there however were very nice professional and helpful.
Horrible first visit. Lousy doctor. He’s great at giving out facts—the only problem is his “facts” were not correct. He told me multiple things during the appointment that were flat wrong. (I confirmed it later.) Two of the actions he told me to take (ex: stopping longtime aspirin use suddenly) can lead to heart failure. He showed me the recently recommended professional standards as proof of his assertions. Obviously he didn’t understand them fully himself. When I politely disagreed with him several times, he accused me of “attacking him.” How dare I refute info when it’s coming from an MD? Probably because I know more about those subjects than he does. Apparently he missed that “D” behind my name too (as in PhD. in the health profession). Even if I were not a doctor in my own right, I am a self-directed, well informed patient and he was very disrespectful to me. He forgot a basic principle in medicine: ie, “ The doctor is the expert on the disease. The patient is the expert on the illness.” In this case, he was the expert on neither. He said he wouldn’t work with me because we were “not a good fit.” He’s right. I do not work with doctors who are inadequately informed but try to impose their will onto their patients. Listening was completely missing from his skill set. He complained the entire appointment about the fact that it started late. (I had arrived on time.) He also refused to provide me with some necessary tests and referrals to specialists and also the disability accommodations that had been arranged with the clinic in advance. (That’s a violation of federal disability law.) I had driven nearly 2 hours to meet with him and to establish care with his practice. A Total Waste of my time, money and emotional energy. I felt traumatized by Dr Rolfe’s rudeness, dismissive attitude, arrogance and ignorance – a deadly combination. I am writing this detailed review solely because I want others to know that you might be putting your health and possibly your life at risk to trust anything this doctor tells you. Look elsewhere for the care and respect you deserve as a paying client of this practice. BTW: the support staff was very professional, helpful and nice.
He is amazing, and very knowledgeable! Excellent practitioner
very great and very very professional. His Nurse, Queen was also great. He is very understanding and cares for his patient. They followed up with me and answered all my questions
I was a new patient for an annual physical. The exam seemed to be appropriate. However, I received a call several days later from a nurse who said my cholesterol was high and asked what pharmacy I wanted a prescription sent to. When I asked what my cholesterol was she had to look it up. There was no discussion or conversation about lifestyle, diet or treatment plans or alternatives and no discussion about the mediation being prescribed or alternatives. Just take this medication. I let the nurse know I would like to try to manage the cholesterol through diet and exercise and she said fine and hung up. I have not heard from the doctor or the office since the call with the nurse.
I saw Dr. Rolfe as a new patient for an annual physical exam. The exam itself was fine. Several days after the exam I received a call from a nurse stating my cholesterol was high and she wanted to know what pharmacy to call a prescription into. I had not seen my lab results and when I ask her she did not know them and had to look them up. There was no discussion on options of treatment or medication being recommended. I told her I would prefer to try to manage it with diet and exercise first. She said fine and that was then end of the conversation. I have not received any follow up by Dr. Rolfe or anyone at Commonwealth Family Physicians since then.
Guy’s fantastic. A no nonsense straight forward guy that gives you all the facts and takes time to help you understand your overall health. He should write medicine for dummies.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
