I did not have a great experience with this dr at all. She came in the room to tell me what was seen on an ultrasound, mind you it was a 10 week ultrasound so things that are 1. not looked for and 2. not seen that early. She proceeded to say that this finding could mean that my child has an abnormality. Jumped right to it, that usually is associated with trisomy. I got the genetic testing and everything was normal. I was very disappointed in all the stress they instilled in me after that appointment. I refused to go there for any high risk and got referred out, which was probably the best decision.

She gave me a diagnosis but said that it didn't need to go into my chart because I am not trying to have kids right now. Weird that she prescribed meds to me for PCOS but that doesn't need to be documented in my chart. After seeing her more than once, I decided that it was not a good fit for me.

I'm beyond satisfied with my time spent with Dr. McWhorter. As a first time mom, who is not from the area, I had a million and one questions, and concerns. Dr. McWhorter has always gone the extra mile to ensure all of my concerns were heard, and the results of testing was relayed properly. No question is too small or dumb to ask. She always validates my thoughts, and provides and encouraging attitude. I would recommend her to anyone!
