Efficient, good care, friendly
Raj Agarwal, M.D., is knowledgeable, professional, through yet efficient & kind. His nurse also exhibits these strengths. The clinic is clean, bright & cheerful. All the staff are friendly, personable and eager to help. I highly recommend Dr. Agarwal & his team !!!
BEWARE, not honest..Do not recommend. Front staff were so unhappy and rude, i made appointment to remove a tiny cyst on my scalp ...my regular great dermatologist office couldn't take me for months. Not only did they make me pay $150 deposit although they knew my insurance would cover it, the Dr. lied and said i would need 3 separate appointments to handle this because they need to numb it and check it etc...i told him it's a 3 minute he still wouldn't do anything. So i wasted my time as he tried to con me out of more money. Needless to say i never got my $150 back. And now they're attempting to bill me another $300 they their lawyer.. for what.. he did nothing!!! Go to Mayland Drive Derm office, they're super!!
This was my 1st Dermatologist appointment. Nervous but everything went very well. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice to deal with. The office is very much on schedule-surprise for a doctors office. Taken back on time and was out in 20 minutes. Dr. Raj Agarwal introduced himself. Ask questions about my medical issues. After exam told me what we needed to do and what to expect for the 2 procedures he did. Very professional.
DAV is an extremely pleasant practice to use. Easy to schedule appointments, very upfront about what needs to be done. They do request a deposit because they know how much is covered by each insurance, and you'll end up paying it, one way or another. I don't blame them for asking for it up front. The doctors are quite competent and the offices are very relaxing to wait in - spacious and airy. The practice functions very efficiently and smoothly.
When I booked an appointment they told me that my insurance was acceptable to them. When I arrived at the appointment, they asked me to pay a deposit. I do not recommend dealing with them.

Great practice recommended to me by former coworker with a background in medical studies.
I have been very unhappy about your patient services. I have been a longtime patient of this practice. I developed a skin condition on my face and called to make an appointment. I was told that there were no appointments until August. I was told to call to see if there were any cancellations. I asked for someone to contact me if there was any cancellation but was told that that was not possible. As a patient of this practice I do not believe that I need to keep calling your office to get an appointment. I was also told to see an urgent care practice if I needed an earlier I don't need to see a doc in the box when I need to see a dermatologist and thought I had one. Please remedy this situation immediately. John Mann dob 9/23/1945
DO NOT GO HERE!!! WORST practice in Virginia. Scheduling is terrible. They have ridiculous turnover with their physicians. They make appointments and then they act like they have no idea what you’re talking about. They don’t keep notes. Sent mail to my PHYSICAL address and NOT MY MAILING address. Literally unorganized and IMPRACTICAL. There are way better practices in Richmond who care more about their patients!!!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
