John Mills Do's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Mills has been our doctor since 1989. He’s by far the best doctor we’ve ever had. We started seeing him in The Brandermill area and we moved with him to the Forest/Glenside where he is currently practicing. He is an hour plus away from where we live, but he’s worth the drive. ❤️

I tried to get an appointment to get my medication refilled (allergy medicine), my insurance only covers physicals so they want to charge me $50 just to get a zoom call to get my allergy medicine refilled during this COVID crisis. They won’t just let me have my allergy medicine, it’s not like I’m getting Hydrocodone. It’s for my allergies for god sakes.

I adore Dr. Mills. So much so that I drive from Chesapeake to Richmond just to see him because he’s truly the only doctor who has ever really listened to my concerns and works so generously with me to get the the absolute best care I need.

Dr MIlls has been my doctor for 4 plus years. Ive been there many times but have only seen him half that time. The office blatantly overbooks patients. prepare for a scheduled 15 minute appointment just to get a prescription filled to be 2 hrs. A regular visit!? make sure your cell phone is charged. The younger doctors there are smug and patronizing and have no traditional bedside manners. Dr Mills is very nice but always seems swamped. I blame the management

horrible. I would stay far away. in 4 years he has never called me back. when I read my records, they were all incorrect. They showed I had diseases that I never had. I have asked them to remove them. This office really does not care about patients. If you go, you will see.

Dr. Mills office staff needs improvement. I arrived for my appointment and they had no record of it. Ok, everyone makes mistakes. Twice they did not run the requested blood test, even though I left a printed copy listing the requested test. The office staff talked in front of me about a co-worker; very unprofessional. When I called for a referral to a cardio specialist and gave them the name of the doctor I wanted to see, they gave me a referral to another doctor instead. When I finally complained about the above issues and said I would be switching to another PCP, they sent a letter dismissing me as a patient. I have no idea if Dr. Mills actually knows of the circumstances as I could only relay my displeasure to the staff.

I have only been seeing Dr. Mills less than 3 years, but wish I had found him years ago. He is very smart, patient, and understanding. He takes the time to listen to what you have to say.. That said, you may have to wait in the waiting room a little longer, but you know when your time comes, you won't be rushed. He's the best... !!
