Dr Maestrello has always been on time for my appointments. He has explained my options for treatment and the treatments he has prescribed have been very helpful.

I highly recommend and have recommended Dr. Maestrello and his P.A. Shawna. I have been going to him for almost 17 years and I have to tell you my quality of life would not be good if it was not for him. They genuinely care for their patients.

Please stay away from Dr. Maestrello’s NP; April P. Fain never in my life have I had such a horrible experience in America. His NP decides to see the patient based on their race and ethnicity. Today I was told NP would not see me because I didn’t have my paperwork’s filled, which I was willing to do as I was 10 minutes early for my appointment. When I requested them that I was in so much pain and would highly appreciate it if the NP could see me, The front desk person called Her twice, But she Bluntly refused To see Me, which is ridiculous And highly unacceptable. After being in healthcare my whole life, never a patient was Denied based on the paperwork. I am not going to stop here only with this review; I will take this to the higher authorities. She bluntly said she wouldn’t see me because I am a brown-skinned Muslim girl who wears a Hijab

They could care less about their patients health and well being but as long as the balance is paid you're 👍... I have seen this doctor once! But Everytime I HAVE gone it was made clear that I would NOT be seen by ANYONE unless my copay was paid. I was EVEN told it was illegal NOT to collect it But somehow I have this huge balance that needs to be paid plus the copay BEFORE I can be seen today... Dr. Maestrellos bedside manner is lacking a great deal. He doesn't say much but when he does, he may as well be speaking Japanese. Yet every single time I try to find a new rheumatologist I somehow get routed right back to this office. It's like the Twilight zone of rheumatologists. So now I'm tasked with finding a new one at the beginning of the year and they probably can't see me until April. The healthcare system as a WHOLE in the United States is pretty sketchy, for lack of a better term. But THIS particular office takes the cake. The receptionist is rude and unprofessional and I REALLY could go on but my arm has been hurting for over a month and now I'm JUST irritated beyond belief!

Dr. Maestrello is a kind and caring doctor who helped me when no one else would. After months of pain and no answers, Dr. Maestrello put me on medications that relieved my pain. As I had a series of unusual symptoms and other concurrent issues, he referred me to Johns Hopkins and ensured that I received a firm diagnosis. Nonetheless, I am eternally grateful for his compassionate care and help when I so desperately needed it.

I received zero follow up after requesting extensive bloodwork & that bloodwork indicating very high inflammatory markers. No thorough physical exam. Doctor seems to be very unfamiliar with different rheumatologic conditions. If there is no quick-fix go-to pharma solution, one leaves the office empty-handed, with no diagnosis, and still in severe chronic pain. Doctor seems lethargic and more intent on sitting and typing into laptop than listening, giving patient full attention, and thinking through possible strategies towards healing.

Excellent, caring doctor, Dr. Maestrello and his team are truly caring about the patient.

I love this office and Dr. Maestrello takes his time and is very engaged.

Wasn't a great experience, front desk staff were slightly rude but more importantly Dr. Maestrello immediately discounted my suspected diagnosis that I was referred for without taking the time to thoroughly examine me nor without giving a reason for why he disagreed..
