After moving to Charlotte 4 years ago, I had a hard time finding a doctor that I connected with. I wanted someone who was sincerely interested in my overall health and well being. I was not satisfied until I started seeing Dr. Melissa Ratliff over 2 years ago. She is caring, compassionate, thoughtful and very professional. I followed her from her previous practice to her private practice because she is the best at what she does! She looks beyond your symptoms to find a solution to your problems and will work with you to correct the problem. I highly recommend her, you will not be disappointed.
I've been a patient of Dr.Ratliff's for many years. I've followed her to 3 practices now, and I'm happy for her newest journey, direct primary care. Dr. Ratliff is a very compassionate, competent, and reliable physician. In today's world, those 3 attributes mean alot to me. As a medical professional myself, I know what to look for in a physician, and she is it! That is why I have followed her journey to direct physician care! Dr.Ratliff listened and advocated for me, when other dr's just pushed me aside. She kept testing, kept asking questions, and I finally got answers, thanks to her! She's helped me with numerous medical concerns, and we have worked together to ease my ailments. I'm so very thankful for her! Please consider her if you're looking for a new approach to healthcare, where you and your physician are in control of your health... not the insurance companies!
*Up to the Challenge* I have a complicated health history, beginning with an AVM Rupture and massive stroke in 2011. I started facing new challenges 2.5 years ago and embarked on an aggressive course of answer seeking. At this time I had to move to another state and selected Dr. Ratliff as my new PCP. She was immediately able to grasp the scope of the situation and dove into building on the foundation my former team built for me, and helped me strategize and implement a plan for next steps. She was the first Doc I secured in this city and I am SO happy with that choice. It was a BIG deal to leave the medical infrastructure I had worked on for over a decade while attending to a "developing situation". Dr. Ratliff hit the ground running. Thank you! Ann
I was a patient here for 6 months. I discontinued my relationship here about 4 months ago and still get angry about the "care" I received here. I had to follow up with the office *multiple times for every referral* they sent for bloodwork or a specialist because the multiple lab/specialist offices *never received the referrals*. I had to follow up again with the office and my doctor to get any feedback on the results of the labs. For what I was paying, I at least expect the front office to double check that referrals go through (not just faxing it and forgetting about it! or forgetting about sending them altogether). I feel that the care I received was dismissive. I had and continue to have serious health issues - I was told to remove red food dye from my diet and meditate and sent on my way. I also received emails to watch one of the doctors give talks about the benefits of intermittent fasting, which has been proven through medical research to be harmful because it's basically just a rebranded eating disorder. I am not a doctor and yet it was so easy for me to look up the accepted research on this junk. The final straw was when I saw that they double-charged my membership fee. I paid quarterly and the past two quarters were charged just once, how was the third quarter of auto-pay charged double?? They refunded the double charge but on top of everything else it all points to serious dysfunction from this office and the entire WellcomeMD organization. After all that I canceled my membership, and I wrote an email telling them all of the reasons why I was cancelling. I had to threaten to post a review to hear back from them. They did address my concerns - "we have the fax receipts from sending the referrals" and "the system shouldn't have charged you twice, but we refunded the second charge" were their excuses and defenses. I cannot point to a good experience with the office that made any of my membership fees worth it and I would still like them refunded but of course that's not going to happen. I expected to receive AT LEAST better than average care for the amount of money I was paying and the promises made by this office. My health was the least of their concerns when it should have been the priority. I wish I didn't waste my time and money here.
Dr. Ratliff is great. Knowledgeable, frank, and has a soft touch. Very pleased to be under her care.
Dr. Woodward is the best doctor I have ever been to. I have had several issues going on and he worked everyone one of them out for me. I was able to get off of some of my meds and replaced them with natural meds that aren't bandaiding the problem. He cares about his patients and listens to them.
I have never had a doctor spend so much getting to know me and my family. She went above and beyond to help or family get settled in our new environment. Great experience! Looking forward to working with Dr. Ratliff!
Dr. Ratliff is wonderful. Kind, considerate, extremely knowledgeable, and takes a holistic approach to her patients’ well-being.
Dr. Ratliff has been my doctor for years. She listens and is genuinely interested in her patient?s overall health. I’m grateful that WelcomeMD’s membership includes a more in depth look at my health and a doctor who is available for me beyond the typical 15 minute appointments most family doctors are able to provide.
Dr. Ratliff is thorough, compassionate, collaborative, and extremely intelligent. I trust her with my physical and mental health and would follow her anywhere!
