This is my second visit, and it was very through. He found something that will need attention in the future maybe. He does do follow up calls which my other doctor didn't. As for a people person ,I found him to be very attentive over my concerns and answered questions to my understanding. His staff was very friendly and professional.

Dr Schmedtje is thorough, well-organized practice with his very professional staff. He demonstrates that he is highly competent. However, his interpersonal skills are lacking as he is not what one would call a "people person." IE he talks, you listen. He is very dismissive when trying to discuss patient concerns... he has no patience or disposition to listen to a patient's input. A people person he is not. I do believe he is a competent Cardiologist.

My first appointment in this visit I went in quite nervous. The staff quickly made me feel better. They were all very kind from the front desk staff, nurse, and the Dr. everything was explained perfectly. They wait time for appointment was great very quick. I would recommend this office to anyone. Very positive experience.

A well-run practice. Dr is very thorough. Staff is very "people-friendly" Dr is not. As he is very dismissive toward patient when asking questions or sharing medical history information. Dr demonstrates excellent competency and thoroughness, His people skills could be improved.
