List of Tad Schoedel's Reviews
Dr. Schoedel is a great and empathetic doctor. He took the time to explain my diagnosis to me and showed me, with pictures, what he was talking about. Having glaucoma is devastating news, but having staff that is empathetic makes the experience of many office visits bearable.
Appointments (set months in advance) are routinely canceled due to "emergency surgery" he has to perform. I'd say it happens at least 50% of the time. And his office staff and nurses are snippy and rude as can be. If he wants to be a surgeon, then great, be a surgeon. But he can't have it both ways; trying to be a surgeon and also service outpatients. I've now gone elsewhere, and after about a year have no regrets whatsoever.
Absolutely the best experience with a doctor I have ever had! He made the whole process easy and stress free I highly recommend!
Dr Schoedel took care of my aunt in an emergency room situation. As a retired ER nurse myself, I was very happy with his care, as was my aunt.
Dr. Schoedel and his technicians answered all of my questions with great knowledge and understand of glaucoma. His techs spoke to me in terms I could understand. I’m very thankful that Dr. Schoedel and his staff travel to see me for my condition so I don’t have to travel. I would recommend Dr. Schoedel to all of my friends.
Dr, Schoedel was very attentive with the issues regarding the glaucoma in my eyes. He explained in every detail what to expect and not to expect with treatments prescribed. I trust his judgement completely. Highly recommend.
You will loose vision on his time. He cares more about making money than caring for patients! STAY AWAY! He is always overbooked and there is always a 2-3 hour wait time! His clinic is poorly run. Dr Cotter stern but he is a great alternative and excellent doctor!! Go to Eye care and surgery! Any where but Dr Schoedel!
Chairside manner much to be desired. I was crying and all he could say was,"put your mask on!" i had lots of nose running. Then he sat in his chair just peering at me, not saying anything, like I was a specimen in a petri dish. I had to ask him what he was doing He said something like, "...I'm trying to figure out what to do..." He is a little creepy. His assistant had no empathy; I felt like I was talking to a robot.
Loves to have mutiple emergencies week in advance. And cant really answer your questions. And may poor decision that cause no sight in my fathers eye with laser. So my father wont return. Be prepared to wait for hours in a crowded waiting room. Good luck!
Had several appointments with this doctor, but at last appointment I was left waiting in his exam room for 45 minutes while he conducted a conversation with a colleague right outside the door. When asked what this conversation was about, he said it was about a new piece of equipment that had been ordered. Couldn’t that conversation have waited until I and his other waiting patients been served. I will not go back!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
