Nimali Fernando's Online Review Report Card

This is by far the best pediatricians office we have ever been a pleasure to be a patient at. They take wonderful care of my daughter. From the receptionist, to the very professional and caring Nurses and of course Dr. Fernando. They are thorough, caring, professional. They see US, not just another patient. They always make my shy daughter feel at ease. Also, I love the holistic approach of being healthy starts with the fuel you feed your body with. It really motivates my little one to eat well and try new things. She says vegetables give you super powers ! Thank you to the staff for the last five years of care, and the ten more ahead of us! I drive an hour and half after we moved last year to have her seen in this office, and we are happy to do it.

My children have been seeing Dr Fernando for the past 8 years and she is an AMAZING doctor. She is smart, kind, compassionate and truly cares about the health of the community. Her office and staff are equally amazing and I have never had a single bad experience. She stays up to date with current medical information and treatments and has impressed me time and time again with her thoroughness and attention to detail. I truly cannot say enough good things about Dr Fernando and her office!

Dr Yum is amazing! She care so much for her patients and my kids love seeing her!

Been with from the start of her practice ! Caring, efficient and thoughtful. Takes vaccinations seriously which makes this practice even better. The Doctor Yum Project which is based out of her building which teaches children healthy and fun eating habits.

My son was a patient of hers for the first 2 months of his life. My last appointment with her was on the 2 month checkup. I told her I was moving out of state and I was going to hold off on the vaccines until I settle in with our new doctor in a few weeks. She gave me the look of death and told me my reasons for waiting didn't make sense to her. She also tried to fear monger me into getting vaccines right then by saying if my son catches whooping cough now he'll die! So unprofessional. Beware!

I have 5 children. All 5 of them love her to death. If I need referred out for anything she will do it. My daughter went for a physical and Dr Fernado found an issue I had been ignoring!

The first reviewer must be completely mistaken. Dr. Fernando is very kind, understanding, and has a great bedside manner. She takes the extra time to answer my questions. I am very happy with having her care for my child. I also am very pleased with her office staff (nurse Trina).

After waiting over an hour, this doctor proceeded to try to scare me (according to the nurse) into an unwanted treatment for my daughter. She was rude and tried to be authoritative. Plus, she intentionally lied to me. She doesn't understand that she works for the patient. She believes that patients need to report to her, and blindly obey. When I began to ask questions, she left without answering any of them. Her response was basically that a good mother wouldn't question her. Clearly, she believes that doctors know all, and the parents' decisions shouldn't matter.
