Mark Sullivan's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Sullivan himself gets a 5 star review. The back office staff also gets a 5 star for the professionalism and care they provide. His office staff however I would give barely a one star. They’re very unprofessional and rude. They make everything much more difficult than it actually could be. They’re also very lazy, there’s usually 2-3 of them sitting at the front talking about their personal lives in a different language and will just make you wait until they finish their convo or sip on their coffee. The doctor will tell us about the plan and the front office staff doesn’t follow through with the plan, they make excuses and make the process much harder than it is. The latest instance was I made an appointment for a family member who would be a new patient, and they gave us a 7am appt told us to be there 20mins early for paperwork. I asked when the office opens the girl told me 7am. I said if the office opens at 7, will anybody be there at the time you’re telling him to come around 6:40am. She said yes of course, we’ll be here he can’t be late. So day of the appt this 65yo patient shows up and the office is closed, while the front desk girl is sitting behind the desk ignoring the fact he’s knocking on the door. It was explained that we were just following their instructions on coming in early for paperwork, but she was extremely rude and said she can’t open the door until 7am and just ignored the fact that we were outside. Management needs to get it together and train these girls to be more competent and professional.

I just wanted to say that Dr. Mark Sullivan is wonderful. I saw him for a primary care follow-up visit, where he went over my labs with me in depth and provided excellent explanations of the significance of each. I voiced some concerns about symptoms I have been having regarding rare connective tissue disease I have, and he listened to and most importantly *supported* my concerns rather than dismissing them just because I’m young like I have experienced with too many physicians (as if health issues exclude the young). He spent time carefully selecting specialist providers to refer me to. I couldn’t be more impressed with Dr. Sullivan’s vast knowledge-base, bedside manner, or sense of compassion. Thank you doctor!
