I visited Dr. Beamon for a PSA test. The somewhat elevated result was telephoned to me by his nurse who said the Doctor wanted to know whether I wanted a biopsy done. I asked what the Doctor recommended and she persisted that the choice was mine, without any input from the Doctor about the risks, pain or need for the invasive procedure. I arranged for prior tests to be sent to her and asked her to show the Doctor. Her later response was that he thought they were normal, a surprise because they were not significantly lower than the current test and the nurse had previously told me the scale started at zero, suggesting the current result was very high. It is not clear to me how as a layman I was supposed to make the choice about a biopsy with essentially no input from the doctor other than a strong inference from his question about whether I wanted a biopsy that something was very wrong. I would give a lower rating for what I consider very slipshod care, but apparently can’t.

Staff was very friendly. Beamon rushed through my appointment. He had a staff member who could NOT answer my questions, call to give me my test results. Should have done that himself.

Confusing, miscommunication, lies, nonchalant about things

He did not treat the conditions which he diagnosed me with (2 things). He completely ignored a kidney issue I have which lead to hospitalizations, decline in kidney functionality and a surgery (NOT being conducted by him...I no longer see him).
