List of Deepa Pai's Reviews
I am admittedly spoiled. My husband was a hospital administrator for over 30 years. We always had personal relationships with our physicians. We recently moved to Virginia to be closer to our kids, and this is the first time I have gone to a doctor that was not connected to my husband somehow. Dr. Pai was both personable and knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns and made some recommendations. I love her mix of what I would call Lifestyle medicine and clinical skills/knowledge. I recommend her without hesitation!
worse experience ever, she's not professional at ALL.
I am 22 year old female and went to Dr. Pai when my last doctor's practice was closed. I spoke about my struggles with weight loss that I've had all my life, and was on an injection to help lose weight. I work 2 hours from home at a desk all day. I leave at 7am and return at 7pm then have to cook dinner, get ready for bed, etc and no time to exercise (and waking up extremely early is not realistic for me as I struggle sleeping through the night and wake up 4-8 times a night) . She told me she was not going to refill my prescription because I need to just "eat less." And her exact words to me were, "you need to wake up at 4:00am and go on a walk for one hour every bloody day because you need to learn discipline and gratefulness!" She was incredibly rude and condescending, she did not listen to my needs and made me feel horrible. I will never go back to her. She does not listen to her patients concerns and just writes you off.
I had a virtual appointment to discuss a referral to a psychiatrist. I was anxious, and I start wheezing and crying when I’m upset. I was doing my best to calm down so I could communicate and give her a good overview. She was rude, looked off camera the entire time, didn’t respond when I said, “Thank you for listening” or to any comment really. She told me, “I don’t have a nurse here to look up the ...
Dr. Pai did not listen to my concerns, spoke down to me, and messed up my medication. I will not see this person again.
I went to Dr Pai for my first Pap smear and the experience was one from a nightmare. She was rough and I ended up in so much pain due to her lack of consideration and proper care. Afterwards i expressed concerns about the procedure and other health questions and felt as though she was not taking me seriously and was even mysogynistic in how she spoke with me. I showed her the birth control prescription that I use and she ordered the wrong one Horrible horrible experience, I will never go back and I encourage anyone else to make a wide berth

Dr. Pai took over my Doctor's patients when she left the practice. On our first meeting I told her my problem and she laughed at me. She completely misunderstood what I was saying. Did not take me seriously and had horrible bedside manner. Then later I had a rather scary amount of heart palpitations. My heart beat at a resting position was over 230 beats per minute. Along with numbness, dizziness and pain down my left side. I called in the morning and she had me make an appointment to be seen later in the afternoon. I ended up going to the ER. My cardiologist was thankful I did as I was presenting the signs of a heart attack and too many times it goes missed in women. Thank goodness this was not the case. But my heart was beating fast enough for me to blackout. Which is dangerous in itself. Even more so as I am alone with my toddlers during the day. She yet again on my second experience with her did not take me seriously. I am now looking for a new doctor.
She had horrible bedside manner, laughed when I described my problem. Didn't take anything seriously even when my heart rate was 230+ beats per minute. My cardiologist couldn't believe it.
Unprofessional, horrible bedside manner, neglectful. Laughs at you when describe your concerns.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
