List of Shenandoah Dermatology & Aesthetics's Reviews
I went to the Raphine office from 2019 to 2025. Rashes did not respond to treatment no biopsy offered, even though it was noted in 2023 and 2024 a biopsy if no improvement. I found another dermatologist who did biopsies, the first visit and I received an actual diagnosis. The visits were quick, and I felt dismissed, I even asked about the possible need for a biopsy, during the course of many visit.
Went to the Raphine location when we first moved to the area for basic consult/care for existing lifetime eczema/psori (mild). No compassion or heart from the provider during the visit, no advice or natural recommendations, nothing at all.....Just a steroid shot and foam...that is all most derms ever do anyway...held out myself for a few years and have not gone back since then. Now have a rash since pregnancy (likely hormonal) and called to get checked up, and they said next available is June 2026. For a quick visit?? In and out in ten-15 min? It is NOVEMBER 2025! Are we under universal healthcare? What a crock of crap.... Jesus....Based on all other reviews, now I know I am better off looking in the cities or going during a trip to NJ or Miami where things make more sense. The person on the phone did not seem to care either......Do not recommend.
Easy access, free parking and thorough exam. Providers seem to change frequently but level of care has remained consistent. Was seen by PA's last 2 appointments. They were knowledgeable and explained everything they saw. And promptly treated suspicious areas.
Every time I visit there is a new dermatologist. Three for three (lynch, Carr, and the third who was too quick to quit to remember their name) before we left for another derm in Cville.
Only thing they want is to get you in get your money. Absolutely will not answer the phone even when you are waiting on results of your test. Horrible for caring for patients information. Do yourself a favor and go else where.
Disappointed after first visit. Had some legions frozen and the they stated they would scab and fall off in about a week. no such luck, nothing has happened and they said they could schedule a new appointment in 5 months because its an insurance thing. Seems they don't care about actually helping their patient, just collect their insurance payments. Shame on you for your poor care plans.
I am extremely disappointed with Shenandoah Dermatology's Staunton branch, not because of their patient care, but because of their complete lack of compassion for their employees. A dedicated employee was fired simply for doing what any good parent would--rushing to be with her 3-year-old child, who was being transported alone via ambulance to the emergency room. Instead of showing basic human decency and understanding, management gave her an ultimatum: stay at work or lose your job. No parent should have to choose between their child's well-being and their employment. This heartless decision speaks volumes about the values of this workplace. If they treat their employees this poorly, it makes me question the integrity of the entire practice. I cannot in good conscience support a business that disregards the well-being of their staff in such a cruel manner. Do better, Shenandoah Dermatology.
I had high hopes for this place but after seeing Dr Miller twice I will not be returning. He made me feel completely unseen that my pain did not matter and then spent the visit talking about psoriasis on my elbow that I didn't even care about. The office never returns your call EVER. After my last appointment seeing him and him literally watching me cry right in front of him because of all the pain I was in he proceeded to tell me to stay well while leaving the room. Of course even after being seen they will only give you a Dr's note for the day of your visit regardless. I tried to get him to fill out an fmla form for me because of my CHRONIC hidradenitis suppurativa and he refused. This place is trash so if you want to be treated like a human and you matter stay AWAY.
female practitioners are often my preferred choice, and Morgan Lewis was very effective at calming my anxieties of being examined without clothing. It was easy to set appointments and everyone at the practice was friendly and helpful. I was promptly seen at my appointment and NP Lewis was knowledgeable, helpful and communicated possible insurance coverage and side effects from the prescribed medication. I have already recommended the practice to several people.
Horrible. Unresponsive to patient needs. Neglectful. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
