List of Annemarie Spooner's Reviews
Have been going to see Dr Spooner for years and she's the perfect balance of professionalism and compassion. Her new location is even more convenient for me and the staff at the office are well organized and responsive when I call with a question or concern. I feel lucky to have Dr Spooner in my area.
Like other reviewers and some friends who use her, great doctor but billing is totally FU! They bill for stuff that should be included in regular exams, like asking a simple question. Suddenly there is a bill for a consultation, which is simply the answer to that question asked during a routine exam. Isn't that what routine exams are for? Also, got billed for tests done for which the insurance company denies payment because they are "experimental" and "unnecessary" but nothing was mentioned during the visit regarding these tests being requested and why they are needed. Looking for an equally great doctor without the billing hassles.
Amazing doctor! She doesn’t rush the appointment. She explains everything and she is so nice!
I cannot say enough good things about this practice! It was lovely in every way. They took time to add many details to improve my experience from calming ocean waves being played in the room, to warming the medical tools so they’re not as cold to the touch. Dr. Spooner was kind and patient. She treated me like a woman, not just a patient. She really talked to me and took time to listen to my concerns. I felt heard and in control and never felt like she had an agenda or was trying to pressure me into doing anything. She’s the best! And you won’t meet a friendlier office staff!
My previous OB/Gyn moved out of state and I really wanted to find someone who was compassionate and caring. I found Dr. Spooner when searching for a new doctor via Facebook groups/Google search. She is just the warmest, kindest doctor who really makes you feel comfortable. She was patient, took time to get to know me and made sure any questions I had got answered. It’s hard to make someone feel comfortable when getting a Pap smear but she made it as painless as possible. I highly recommend!
Been a patient for a number of years of being brushed off and my health concerns not being taken seriously- no longer a patient as of today. Dr. Spooner lets her staff be her voice without telling them all of the details. They purposefully do not answer specific questions so that you are forced to schedule an appointment and pay a copay for a 5 min. visit to get one question answered. She cares more about her staff than her patients without listening to legitimate concerns about their care of her patients. Don't bother- she will never care about your health concerns like a good doctor should.
Staff was very friendly and helpful on all my questions. Dr. Spooner took her time with me and it was so nice not to rush through my appointment. She is very knowledgably.
Ever since Dr. Spooner opened up her own practice the office hours have changed, they now aren't open on Fridays which obviously eliminates doctor to see her patients if they have a problem and need to be seen on Friday. I called the office today few times after 8:30 and the message kept changing from "we are closed for the holiday" and "we are here assisting other patients and leave us a message". They should just leave the message with the date when they are back to the office not to confuse their patients. Dr. Spooner is great as a doctor but ultimately it's her practice, so I think there are definitely few things that the practice need to work on to make it more helpful to the clients. The other things is if Dr Spooner is on vacation or sick there is nobody else who can see you. It happened to me last year and I had to go to another doctor in Reston. So having only one doc in the office kind of sucks. Hopefully, someone is reading this to make a change if they are willing to change anything.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
