Harbour View Family Practice's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient here for several years now and have yet to experience anything negative and I do not anticipate I will at this point. From the office staff, nurses, especially the nurses and Dr Kapur they have always treated me with kindness, above board professionalism and respect. As much as I am not a fan of doctor and dentist visits, I know when I visit this office, I will leave feeling better than I did when I walked in.

Everything was going well years ago when I went to get my check ups etc with the amazing PCP M.Shah but as the saying goes all good things must come to an end. This place has fallen by the waist side no one wants to do their job other than laugh and play around given the back ground noise. And don't bother asking for a same day visit to keep from going to the ER you will be out of luck because that's when the excuses come in instead of looking into the system for a same day appointment or putting one on hold to walk and find out from the doctor etc if one can come in for a same day visit if they can't then maybe another doctor can. I was just told to go to Urgent Care without the rep getting with my doctor or the doctor's nurse, so I Kindly hung up in her ear for I'm sick of the non sense. For this is not the first time this has happened. So as of today I will no longer attend this practice given 8 years my son and I will seek another PCP but none will be with Bon Secour can't post my comment with out a rating which is a 0 so I have to give a star which will be one for they don't deserve that.

Before I begin this review let me start off by saying that this review is based solely on my opinion and my opinion alone so with that being said let's go!. Ever since I can remember when I moved down here from Brooklyn NY I have been coming to this establishment because it's conveniently located by my house but more importantly the drs are wonderful!. They take time out to answer your questions and concerns (if you have any) and also gives you important recommendations regarding your health. So if you're in line for a new medical doctor or if you're looking to make a change from your previous medical doctor then may I suggest you look into Harbour View Family Practice for you and your family's medical needs!.

Completely disappointed with my experience. I couldn't have been treated more poorly. All because I didn't have exact change for my copay and was 15 minutes early instead of 30 minutes, for which there was already a wait for regardless of what time I got there. I was almost turned away but she was gracious enough to ask if I could still be seen to which I was replied with "There will be a wait". These doctors are apparently so busy that they are turning patients away from an already stacked line all because of an arrival time that wasn't as early as they like, so you can wait the full 30 minutes on top of however many are in line waiting for their appointment. It also seems that the staff has been trained to weed out patients with their rude behavior. So, I decided it's probably best to find a doctor that isn't so overbooked and unavailable with staff that are better trained in customer service.

If I could leave zero stars, I would.

Unfriendly front desk with zero customer service. I was hoping to be a new patient but unfortunately after the practice rescheduled my first appointment that I had to wait a few month out to get, the rescheduled appointment was for 3PM so when I arrive they tell me that it was at 2PM and that I will have to reschedule again. No apology, no care in the world that we have to wait for these appointments so far in advance or care about our work schedules. Needless to say, I will not be rescheduling and I will be looking to establish a new doctor somewhere else.

Attentive staff and great doctors. Never any crazy wait times and very accommodating for last minute appointments.

I've been a patient for about 2 years now. I have never had any issues with appointments or scheduling. They even reschedule last minute for me when the weather is too scary for me to drive. Everyone is super nice too!

I luv doctor Dr McGowan she’s the best

This family practice is by far the worst I have ever encounter. Set up an appointment for 2:00pm ran four minutes late and was turned away! On top of that i'm a cancer patient for the last three and half years. just trying to get a PCP appointment. So instead of working with me the front desk receptionist argued with me for 20 minutes before I had enough. If this is how they treat new patients i would stay clear of the doctors and staff at this practice.
