Marc Barbella's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Mark Barbella was the best Podiatrist that that I had ever used and I had used many before I came to his practice was in Medford, NJ 08055

I found Dr. Barbella on the internet on a whim. I was having ankle pain and swelling for 4 months and none of my doctors were listening to me. Around the same time, I had the ankle pain I was diagnosed with a blood clot in the same leg and that is all the other physicians focused on and totally disregarded my ankle pain. I went to Dr. Barbella as a final option and to prove to myself I wasn't crazy. During the first appointment, he advised that I most likely have a ruptured tendon. He advised all the different options and what I would be eligible for and what I would not be due to my medical history - we tried a CAM boot and non weight bearing; shots and then decided on surgery. My surgery was scheduled a total of 3 times, cancelled twice due to other medical issues. Dr. Barbella only worried about how I felt and how we can safely do this surgery. His scheduler always fit me in as quickly as possible to ensure that I got this done. 3 months post op I'm smiling and pain free.

Very rude and condescending doctor. Today was my 2nd visit with Dr. Barbella at the Hampton location. No bed side manners on top of being 1.5 hours late. He did not say anything along the lines of I’m sorry for your wait how is it going today or anything. This doctor refuses to let you get a word in while trying to explain your current symptoms and while also trying to understand his choice of treatment. I was in such disbelief of his character that I left the appointment that I waited almost 2 hours for. He gave no regard to anything I said and ended it with asking me do I have a medical degree, just because I wanted to understand the suggested treatment. He ripped the soles out of shoes to put in inserts that I did not agree to pay for yet because he was so busy cutting me off he never asked me if I wanted to pay for them or not. He basically told me to find somewhere else to go if I didn’t want to do as he said which the problem was he never listened to what I was saying. I am not over exaggerating when I say every single word I tried to get out he completely cut me off. Meanwhile I’m still in pain dealing with my foot and now my emotions from such harsh treatment. I will be looking further into having a complaint on his medical board records because this was beyond disbelief. I hope the review reaches the eyes of the owners of 1Foot 2Foot so they can know the type of doctor they have working for them.

If he is a wound specialist, I am the queen of England. Had I kept going to him, I would have lost my foot!

Dr. Barbella is very smart, and I think he has some great ideas, however I did not feel like he helped me handle the pain in my foot (walking, resting, etc.). He seemed very opposed to surgery or medication (neither of which I was chasing, which I tried to specifically express), however I don't think the straight mechanical approach (taping) is going to work for me in this case. Still hurting.

Worst experience ever when seeking professional medical assistance! Dr. Barbella wasn’t willing to listen but instead only wanted to speak. My appointment time was 1:15p and I was not seen until approximately 2:45p. I was being seen for consistent pain in my foot. He was trying to advise me that it was due to the lack of arch in my foot and the only thing was to purchase $40 in soles at their office. While trying to get clarification on treatment he continued to cut in and attempt to belittle me

I had painful bunions that came back after surgery l had 20 years ago. I saw Dr. Barbella (Hampton office). Staff are friendly, caring and professional. Dr. B. has a comfortable/friendly demeanor. He explained my problem (arthrodesis tarsometatarsal) and options available. He said he could fix my feet with a new surgical procedure (lapiplasty) He did. Dr. Barbella is an exceptional podiatrist/surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner. I love my feet. I highly recommend Dr. Barbella. He's the best

First visit with Dr Barbella was today. Excellent experience. He explained everything to me in terms I totally understood. Thanks
