Its next to impossible to get a appointment if you do it's a month out..If your sick they want you to go to the nowcare instead witch cost you more money..if you need to talk to the doctor or his nurse you cant..they say they give them notes but never do..the receptiveness are lazy and don't want to do there job..

As a health care professional myself, with eons of experience, I was truly let down by my interaction with this physician. I had two issues I needed corrected and as a new patient, I knew the appointment would be lengthy. However during that time, Dr Barakat told me that my “new” insulin wasn’t working because I believed it wouldn’t. If I had mind control over my pancreas, I certainly wouldn’t be diabetic! She also referred me out to offices that are not accepting new patients, which is careless. I got the prescription I needed from her, but I will not be going back. She did not listen or validate any of the issues I know I am having with my body and spoke to me as if I were a lesser person than she is. The office staff was incredible though!

Continuously out of the office for week or canceling appointments. Impossible to get in, always booked up. I have to be seen over and over by urgent care instead of my actual primary doctor. She may be a great doctor but I would never know!

I love Dr. Barakat! She is attentive, and genuinely cares about her job and helping people. I tend to wait everytime I see her but it is really worth it. She's just great...if you have an issue then she is determined to get to the bottom of it and she actually follows up with you instead of just having a nurse call you back. GREAT DR!!!
