Ive had nasal polyps for who knows how long. Living with this for so many years and not knowing what it was or what it is. Dr mackie was able to not only diagnose me but provide me a better quality of life with her choice in medication for me. The medication caused so many issues with my insurance though, 3 months of going back and forth. Dr mackie and nurse nancy were so dedicated and focused on my case to ensure me that mo matter what i got my treatment. Mind you its very expensive so what they were doing for me was a really big favor. They knew it was working for me and knew it was worth the hassle. Ill forever be grateful. Please go to her, she will take care of you and ensure youll get to your final destination.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mackie's for over 12 years now. BEST ALLERGIST EVER. She has been more helpful and accommodating as far as going the extra mile with allergy shots and enabling us to keep our cat/pet. Nothing has even been too much. They have a very friendly, yet professional office team as well, as they all help each other out with allergy services. Can't say enough about Dr. Mackie and her team, as I always miss them when we live overseas. They have been extremely helpful even under those circumstances with coordinating services abroad for me. No hesitation here recommending Dr. Mackie to anyone with complicated allergy situations. You won't be disappointed.

In the absence of dr. Mackie, I had a virtual appointment with dr. Khan, a new addition to the allergy office. I was very impressed by her: she is very personable, answers all questions thoroughly, does not hurry the patient, provides practical advice in addition to the strictly medical, and clearly thinks the issues through. She is a great addition to an already very formidable practice. I was very impressed and would recommend her to others. Zuzana Dillon

Being unable to breathe is the scariest condition I have ever experienced. Two days of seasonal high pollen & humidity caused an asthmatic episode so severe that I considered an ER visit. Meds previously advised by Dr. Mackie's at my initial visit ten months earlier were ineffective. Still breathing impaired and anxious I called Dr. Mackie's office in need of advice on how to handle/avoid such a crisis (one possibility was a prescription for an oral steroid). After a pause, I was told that I had not made a f/u appointment six months following my initial visit. I was unaware this was expected and asked if I had missed a scheduled appointment. I was told I had not. I was advised to come in next week or go visit a primary care physician. Nobody would speak with me. A well deserved "FAIL."

Stay away! After over 10 years this place has gone downhill drastically. Some of the staff are very rude and insulting. When Dr. Mackie finds out she blames the customers and insults them even further. Even long-time customers are not treated as customers. We have options and are paying for service. We don't get to be treated poorly or insulted. Then the doctor not addressing any concerns and saying she didn't hear or see it,yet is blaming you for things she didn't hear or see either is laughable. Hearsay only works one way in her opinion. Policies keep changing and becoming harsher to patients/customers. Shot's haven't change in over a decade yes somehow policies do and they treat you like you are incompetent and unintelligent no matter who you are.Dr. Miller and some of the staff have been a joy to deal with for over ten years. Front desk staff is kind and helpful. It is extremely insulting that Dr. Mackie asks someone to leave for getting upset over being insulted. No violence or cursing was done, only a slight raised tone. They clearly don't appreciate their patients, especially long-time ones. You are a number and a paycheck to them. Find a better more caring option.

I have been suffering from chronic rashes for 10 years. Two allergists, three ENTs (the rash also appears in the mouth), and three dermatologists later I still have no answers and no help. Dr. Mackie (the third allergist) not only ran some tests, but, thinking more broadly outside just her specialty, also recommended other doctors who might find some other causes for the rash. She even contacted them herself to talk about the case! At the same time she assured me that she is not just trying to pass me on to others and that she will work on my problems, should the other doctors not find any underlying reasons for the chronic rashes. At the time of 15-minute doctor's visits she is truly unique! Thank you, doctor Mackie 10 Nov 2020: I would like to add to my review from about one month ago. Dr. Mackie not only did everything I am mentioning above, but, unknown to me at the time I wrote the review, she also took the time to do some research (non-billable hours!!) on what could be causing my skin problems. Follow-up appointments with the specialists she had recommended show that she was right! Thank you again, doctor Mackie!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mackie for several years. I have asthma and seasonal allergies. Dr. Mackie has helped me so much with both of these medical problems. She is extremely caring and exceptional. Her office staff are both helpful and knowledgeable of insurance issues, etc. I live a "normal" life despite my asthma condition. I highly recommend consulting with her if you are suffering with any allergy problems.
