This place is a help to those in need And a Organization I can help you turn around your life. Not having the money for the help you need is just a poor excuse as they work with those who are without resources.  I encourage you to look at their resources and get your life on track.

Impossible to find the building, depressing building when you do actually enter it, and the fees they charge are way to high!   They are supposed to be HELPING people, not charging them ridiculous fees for a poor product.  Don't waste your time.   I went here fir job counseling.  She read a google search to me.  Enough said.

AVOID!  They claim they have domestic violence services, but do not.  They ignored the extensive physical and sexual abuse my child experienced.  Their therapist slandered me in the report writing immature hearsay like "our receptionist said her mother seems combative" when all I was doing was sitting in the waiting room, reading.  Meanwhile, my child complained incessantly that the therapists ignored the physical and sexual abuse that had been endured.  Billing was NOT sliding scale and was expensive.  They refused to bill my good employer sponsored insurance.  Despite what their website says, they do NOT provide court advocacy or court accompaniment for Protective Orders. Oh, and the place is run by a man who does not understand women's issues.  Please find a therapist elsewhere, your mental health will benefit.

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. ACTS/Turning Points DV Agency refers abused women here when they shouldn't. This is not a women's center in any sense. It is run by a man who profits off of renting rooms to individual women to provide counseling, but will send them to a different room each week. The buildings are NOT ADA accessible. Therapy is in a different room each week. They refuse to release your medical records to you (file a HIPPAA Complaint if they do). Interns make the appointments and make many errors that delay the therapy. Receptionist bad mouths clients to their therapist if she doesn't like how they talk. VERY unprofessional place that is emotionally degrading to abused women. NO Stars, but google won't post without one.

This place literally saved my life. Got free legal referrals and excellent counseling at a reduced rate. Went from a very bad place to a new life and career in the space of a year. I couldn’t be more grateful.’

Outstanding organization helping families in their community.

My wife and I have both had good experiences with counseling at The Women's Center.  She started weekly counseling sessions there to address feelings of grief over the death of a family member, and ended up discovering that she had unresolved issues about her childhood that were causing negative feelings and behaviors in the present.  Her therapist was able to make progress in these areas through listening, validation, asking very astute questions, and assigning journal exercises.  She is much healthier and happier now.  I sought counseling for anxiety, depression, and to learn to be more assertive, and have made tremendous progress on these issues thanks to my excellent therapist, Fred Nolen.  I heartily recommend The Women's Center.
