List of Ahmed Rahman's Reviews
I saw Dr. Rahman after 2 ER visits at Virginia Beach hospitals for a gall bladder attack. I was in pain and worn out from waiting in pain. Dr. Rahman's calm, reassuring, and caring presence confirmed that he would take care of me. He reviewed my records before I arrived and knew exactly how to address my medical issues. They said they would get me into surgery as soon as possible and they did. The next day, his scheduling nurse, Debra called me and gave me a date and told me what I could expect in the experience. The following Tuesday, I arrived at Chesapeake Regional Hospital with valet service and a relaxing piano concert in the lobby while I dealt with paperwork. I felt like I was walking into a 5 star hotel. I was swiftly delivered to my pre-op area and the nurses couldn't have been nicer or more concerned about my well-being. The anesthetist chatted with me for a long time about my tendency to feel nausea after being anesthetized. Then the wonderful Dr. Rahman came in to explain
For SEVERAL years I'd had pain in my lower right abdomen. I spoke to my MD about it years ago. I went to a gynecologist & he couldn't find anything. It literally made me question myself! FINALLY, my MD suggested that I obtain a CT Scan (which I'd already had) & still nothing! A few years later, the pain was increasingly worse & I began having horrible spasms, not to mention it felt like I was carrying something inside within that area, but these weren't just regular spasms. they were debilitating to where I couldn't do anything but scream & cry. My MD stated they saw a hiatial hernia along with some small gallstones but nothing major. The pain was major to me. He finally ordered a CT Scan with dye & they found it. I was then referred to Dr. Rahman and he wasted no time in getting me scheduled for gallbladder removal surgery. I'm approximately four weeks post-op & although I still have pain it's NOTHING like it was Dr. Rahman is the Greatest of All Time; I THANK GOD for him! Phenomenal
I was pleased with Dr. Rahman. He explained what to expect prior to surgery and answered all my questions. And I had a lot of questions as this was my first surgery. Surgery itself went very well and I experienced very little pain post-op. If you need a surgeon for this type of procedure he would be a good choice.
Dr. Rahman was the surgeon for my inguinal hernia surgery, and he was absolutely terrific. At the consultation prior to surgery, he took the time to answer all of my questions patiently, explained the surgery and what to expect both pre- and post-op. The surgery, itself, went off without a hitch. He stopped by pre-op when I was being prepped to make sure that I was comfortable and visited with my wife when I was recovering in post-op to reassure her and tell her all that went on, including his findings. Recovery from the surgery was surprisingly quick. At the post-op visit two weeks later, he pronounced me fine to resume all normal activities, including my regular exercise. Through the entire experience, I found Dr. Rahman to be thoroughly professional, reassuring in demeanor and words, and utterly in command of his subject. If you unfortunately some day find yourself with an inguinal hernia, Dr. Rahman is definitely the man you want to see.
Very pleasant, friendly. Explained the procedure and what to expect pre and post-op. Also very patient and answered all of my questions.
Dr. Rahman took his time to find out what was going on with me. He talked to me awhile first then read my records and asked some questions. He is one doctor that I will remember for the great job an attitude. I wish every doctor was more like him. Thank You Dr. Rahman
Dr. Rahman is awesome! He performed my appendectomy laparoscopically. After the procedure, took the time to explain what he did. During my follow up appointment, he answered all my questions.
Dr. Rahman is a great Doctor, his smoothing voice and his calm demeanor is welcoming.
My experience was very good. He is compassionate, made me feel comfortable, and made a well-thought out medical decision for my surgical procedure. His surgical teams were caring.
I had surgery with this man as my doctor to heal stomach hernia and three months later, received a bill that I thought was a mistake, from medical lab for biopsy that I never knew happened during surgery. I was diagnosed with CIRRHOSIS OF THE LIVER for which there is NO known cure. When I immediately confronted doctor and his staff, doctor said, "oh didn't I tell you? I must've forgotten" and left me unknowing to get any medical care. Today, is 10-22-18 and I just found out the drug he approved for my blood pressure is a LIVER DESTRYOING drug that I've been taking even today! This man has NEGLECTED my medical health and he can neglect others as well. BEWARE, RUN, DON'T LET THIS MAN TREAT YOU OR ANYONE DEAR TO YOU. I'm contacting my lawyer!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
