I would absolutely recommend Dr. Kelly to family & friends. Our first visit my husband and I were met at the front desk with a smile with our wait time very short. I was diagnosed with a mass on my left kidney and was very nervous and afraid. Dr. Kelly was wonderful explaining everything in terms my husband and I could understand, He was very reassuring and explained the procedure to remove the mass. He was able to get the entire mass along with the good news that my biopsy did not show any spread to the tissue surrounding the mass. My follow up visit with his Cara, his PA, was very thorough. She put me at ease and demonstrated the same care and ability to explain what I could expect in the future.

My husbad has been rescheduled twice now for the biopsy to see if he has prostate cancer. Two appointments that were on Fridays, were only rescheduled the Monday before. And one of thos appointments had been on the books for over month. So unprofessional. If it happens again, I am definitely filing a greivence.

Dr. Douglas Kelly skillfully guided me through the earliest stages of prostate cancer diagnosis, treatment pros & cons, surgery (once I decided on that option), post-op, and sustained recovery. He is amazingly skilled as an experienced surgeon and a factual, straight shooter in framing all of the aspects of prostate cancer. I feel especially blessed that Dr. Kelly is my urologist and feel extremely confident in stating that you won’t find better than him.

I was referred to Dr Kelly for follow up with my family physician. He provided me with my diagnosis and recommended surgery ASAP, like the next day, as this was not possible, on my situation. Once surgery was done a couple weeks later, he followed up on Sunday evening to check on my condition. Follow up visits and monitoring for the next couple years. Thanks.

Run as fast as you can away from this doctor and this practice. They are nothing but a factory and Dr Kelly cares more about jogging his brains out, than his patients. I would not take my dog to him.

This doctor cares about vacation more then his patients. Was supposed to order a cat scan, he never did. He tried to blame his office staff for miscommunication, but this RN knows that if you are waiting on test results on one of your patients while you are on vacation, you have your staff look for the results. Also, you make sure that your ov staff can reach you on vacation or you have another doc on call. Treat your patients like they are family, because to someone they are....

Kelly ordered a ct scan stated if done at VASentara he would give me the results same day. Traveled 1 1/2 hrs. to Norfolk instead of the Sentara in NC (30 min. away). Phoned same day for results. Repeated 3 days in a row. 2nd bus. day got phone call from office req.payment and told I was scheduled for another procedure in 2 days! 3rd business day I cancelled procedure until I consulted with Kelly about cat results. 5:15 pm on 3rd/day he called no file to refer/unable to answer spec. questions.
