Dr. Philip Letada's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr Letada off/on for the past 4 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. I was sent to him by my Rheumatologist without a prior appmnt to diagnose a rare skin disease that required immediate attention. That is precisely what Dr Letada and his staff provided. ALL aspects of my appointments have been compassionate, non-judgemental, and informative with all questions answered completely. I am under the care of 5 Specialists, so I have a lot of experience with Drs visits. I fully endorse Dr Letada and his staff. He is a former US Navy Flight Surgeon, who served his country and ONLY the cream of the crop of military physicians can achieve that disctinction.

Dr. Letada should not even be considered a doctor at this point. He refused to remove a cyst from my chin. I am pregnant but have gotten this procedure approved by my OB. He said he thought it could be dental related and told me to visit an ENT who would be able to take an x-ray and remove it in their office or I could go to my dentist for the x-ray and come back to see him to remove it. I went to the ENT who was extremely confused why I was even referred to his office. He said it was a cyst, not related to dental work and didn't see why we should even have an x-ray and basically told me I was wasting my time. So I went to my dentist who also was confused. They said if it was dental related and on my chin, I would be in an extreme amount of pain. My dentist wrote a note to Dr. Letada letting him know it was not dental related and he could perform the procedure. I went BACK to Dr. Letada and he said he was sorry for wasting my time and he wouldn't be able to perform the procedure because of the location with my artery. So his story changed AGAIN. I asked for alternate solutions and he recommended a plastic surgeon to perform the procedure. I took the plastic surgeon's card and threw it out in the trash on my way out. No need to keep spending money on appointments. I received a bill for both my appointments and spoke with the office manager, Tammy who was very kind and understanding. She followed up with him and he told her that he felt he couldn't perform the surgery because the ENT wouldn't do it because I'm pregnant. He said he received a letter from them directing them not to perfom the procedure. This is not true, the ENT never sent a letter. And he said in my second appointment it was because of the location of my artery. And he is still charging me for that second appointment. Again, the office manager Tammy was very kind, followed up with me in appropriate time and I think can sense how ridiculous this all is. But I will not return to that practice that has such a shady "doctor" working there. He is full of lies and excuses.

Dr. Letada should not even be considered a doctor at this point. He has been shady and inconsistent with his diagnosis and performing procedures.

I happened to personally work with this amazing doctor. He is professional, compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough!! I would highly recommend him as well as anyone else in that office. The Cokers are amazing dermatologists and all the practitioners there care for their patients! Dr. Letada is top notch and goes the extra mile to accurately diagnose you instead of treating you like you're on a conveyor belt!

Dr. Letada is excellent. I went in for a rash and he did a full cancer screening and was extremely through. He quickly biopsied a mole and when it came back with melanoma he personally called me. He answers questions and takes his time to make sure you understand. I highly recommend him as a dermatologist!
