Dr Sobol Just had surgery 2 days ago. Wonderful doctor who explains everything and has a great sense of humor. I had a stent placed and previously and cried the whole time it was in. Dr Sobol came up with a stent pain reliever combo medication. It works. I have not had a 10th of the pain I previously had. It is hard to get an appointment but well worth the wwait.i high recommend Dr Sobol to all.
Dr. Sobol’s HoLep procedure has changed my life. Had surgery at 72 years old and had extremely large prostate. Voiding was often (every 30 minutes during day, 3 times ar night) and never emptying bladder. Very weak stream and painful. Day after surgery was voiding like a 20 year old. Unbelievable. Surgery was a breeze. Catheter removed following day. Little painful to urinate for a few days, but not complaining. Should have done this years ago. Thank you Dr. Sobol. Your enthusiasm and love for your profession and the HoLep procedure is very obvious.
I had a HoLEP (Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) procedure with Dr. Sobol and it could not have gone better with virtually none of the possible side effects. Dr. Sobol was excellent from the first consultation to discharge from the hospital. He took all the time needed to explain the procedure, options and possible issues. Most importantly though in the hospital on the day of the procedure my wife had a question and he went out and found a chair and sat down and went through all details with us. I highly recommend Dr. Sobol to anyone looking for a urologist. He is passionate about his field and showed genuine care for my health.
Dr. Sobol recommended surgery to remove 45+ bilateral kidney stones (seen on CT scan). They were supposed to be analyzed in order to make recommendations regarding prevention/treatment. 5 days after surgery I removed stents and had complications voiding. I went to the ER and had a catheter inserted. This was later removed at his office and once again I had trouble voiding; back/kidney pain. I went back to the office and a nurse told me my bladder was empty, but a catheter would be inserted again and said, "The catheter doesn't lie!" **Her demeanor and comments were very offensive. My bladder was in fact full & it drained 4165 ml/cc overnight! A NP consulted w/ me at my post-op appt. b/c Sobol was "out of the office." She couldn't answer questions regarding surgery, so Sobol was suddenly available. He said the stones weren't analyzed-"just an oversight!" Also, there weren't as many stones as they originally thought. Diagnosis: Randall's Plaque. Was surgery necessary??????
Outstanding in every way!!! May his tribe increase
I recently took my severely handicapped son to see Dr. Sobol. He was professional but kind, thorough but sensitive. I found him knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Sobol's concern for my health, state of mind, surgical experience, and recovery was exceptional. He has great bedside manners and so easy to communicate with. After my surgery for a neobladder, he often stopped by to see how I was feeling and progressing. He'll take the time to answer all questions and encourages feedback. I was very fortunate to have him on my surgical team.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
