Doctor Young clearly demonstrates that he follows the oath that every doctor takes when they become a licensed medical doctor. It is refreshing that he shows that he truly cares about his patients and people in general. An added note about the surgery center on Clearfield Ave. It is truly a finely tuned operation worthy of a 5 Star.
Dr Young treated my husband in Leigh hospital. He is just awesome! He is a kind, considerate man. His bedside manner is terrific! He lets you know exactly what is going on and explains it very well from surgery to follow up. He’s a great Dr if you need a specialist in his field.
I give Doctor Young five stars because I found him to be more of a personal Doctor than a Protocol Doctor. Doctor Young appears to have had the ability to customized specific, best, needs for me, which has been very helpful with my issues. In short, I see Doctor Young as a High Priest in the healing Temple known as Urology of Virginia.
My experience with Dr. Young is that he provides excellent care, has excellent follow-up. Nurse Kim Jones is fantastic. Very receptive to discussing issues and providing information necessary for me to make best decisions. Huge fan of Dr. Young.
VERY GOOD AT KIDNEY SURGERY, BUT DR. YOUNG IS NEVER AVAILABLE FOR FOLLOW UP. HIS OFFICE NEVER RETURNS CALLS. AFTER HOURS MESSAGING OPERATORS EXTREMELY RUDE AND SOMETIMES WON'T TAKE MESSAGES. USES NURSE PRACTIONER (NP) TO FILL IN HIS APPOINTMENTS WITHOUT ASKING PATIENT. NP IS VERY CONDESCENDING AND SNIPPY. FRONT OFFICE STAFF SOMETIMES RUDE AND SPEAK WITH ATTITUDE TO PATIENTS. OVERLOADED WITH PATIENTS???
Incredibly talented Doctor. Very professional and knowledgeable.
I was checked in 15 minutes early for my 10;15 appointment. I then sat in the waiting room until 10;50 before being called into an exam room. Doctor Young showed up at 11:10 , 50 minutes after my appointment. No apology for being late. also, Having a woman note taker in the room for my exam was uncomfortable while i was naked. DR young should have dismissed the lady while i was being checked. Nurses could not draw blood, i was given a lab report and told to go get my blood drawn from a labcorp with no suggestion on where the nearest facility was.
Went to Dr Young for a vasectomy. Is incredible the big difference and good talented doctor makes. All my friends went to different doctors for vasectomies they all had pain. I went with Dr Young for mine and the most incredible thing was I felt no pain during or days after the surgery and I mean zero pain. This doctor is extremely talented. The doctor was very confident and very compassionate. Highly recommend Dr Young.
We had a horrible experience with this doctor in the hospital. He is cold and arrogant. He really didn’t care what happened to my father. He was so busy trying to prove how smart he was that he lost sight of what was in my father’s best interests. He needs a lesson in compassion and humility.
What a horrible experience with this doctor when my father was in the hospital. His need to prove how smart he is trumped his ability to provide my father compassionate care. He was unfeeling and really didn’t care about my father’s overall well-being. Ultimately we went against his recommendation and followed our gut in my father’s best interest and we were right. He could use a lesson in humility.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
