Of all our healthcare professionals, we look forward to appointments with Dr. Rose the most for reasons too many to count. She applies her technical expertise with such grace that we feel like family. We're never rushed, thoroughly evaluated, offered a variety of effective treatment alternatives, and handled with respect and efficiency by her kind and welcoming staff. We highly recommend this wonderful practice and gem of a doctor.
Dr. Rose is one of the most compassionate and caring doctors I have ever been to. She diagnosed my condition and treated it without having surgery. I now have perfect use of my right thumb. The office personnel were very courteous and caring. I would highly recommend Dr. Rose for any hand injuries. .
Wait is very long for the 1st appointment, the 2nd was cancelled by the doctor. No "specialsts" seem to be reliable. The patient is the one with pain.
I tried to schedule, and whoever their receptionist is, is RUDE. I’ve never called for care and been treated on such a way. Ok RUDE-Y Huxtable I will get care elsewhere
Steroid shot! What steroid shot? A breeze. Knowledgeable and friendly doctor and staff.
I have seen Dr Rose three or four times over the past 10 years for a variety of hand related issues. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and caring. Her staff is friendly and help make the experience as pleasurable as a visit to a doctor can be.
I'm very happy that my dermatologist recommended Dr. Rose - she and her staff did an awesome job on my finger! I hope I won't need hand surgery again, but if I do, it will be with her. It didn't take long to get the initial consult scheduled and when I came in, she made sure I understood what my treatment options were. Her staff also made sure I knew what I needed to do to prepare for surgery. My surgery was in the office and went great, and she followed up personally afterwards. During recovery, I only needed ice (to keep the swelling down) and didn't need any pain meds - not even tylenol! I was given detailed instructions on how to take care of my hand during recovery, and I made sure to follow them. Dr. Rose also made sure that my lab work was processed correctly (it was a little out of the ordinary). Thanks for fixing my finger Dr. Rose and staff!
Dr. Rose and her staff were terrific. Dr. Rose has a wonderful bedside manner and really listens to provide the best possible treatment. The staff is extremely professional and very thorough.
My hand hurt so bad, so I go to this Joan Rose MD- hence hand surgeon. I had to fill out 7 pages of medical info to go then in to the receptionist, for her to put it in manually and take pictures of my ID's with a cell phone and transfer to a computer. Another wait time to go in a room with a rusted table,I assume was for observation. The Dr. Was more impressed with my mask! Never examined my hand, but x rayed it. After explaining I just had it x-rayed. I was told by the receptionist, nurse, doctor that I needed to quit smoking before surgery. Really as a senior I didn't need a statement from the 3. So Medicare was billed $950.00. Smoking and tobacco use intensive counseling, more than 10 minutes - charge was $400. Patient visit 45-59 minutes $300.00. I saw the Dr. No more than 15 minutes. I left there feeling defeated from medical care- looking for an answer. My hand hurt so bad from writing, I cried that night. I wasn't going to write a review but after getting my Medicare break down, I couldn't believe the charges that was fabricated.
I chose Dr. Rose because she was recommended to me by two other doctors plus several friends. She exceeded expectation. Besides having a great staff, she is very effective and knowledgeable. Great bedside manner and communication skills. I had gotten a steroid shot in my hand at another practice. It was excruciatingly painful. But when Dr. Rose gave me the second one, she had a technique that reduced the pain to the point that it was quite bearable. Highly recommended.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
