List of MIchael Sotosky's Reviews
Dr. Sotosky was the best. He was caring, attentive to my problems and prescribed all the best meds to clear my issue quickly. He is a fabulous doctor. Wish he was always at Urgent Care. Definitely a 5++++
I was visiting friends in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and took a spill on the boardwalk and jammed my hand. A couple of hours later my arm was hurting bad, and I thought I should seek a doctor's help. So my friends drove me to urgent care (NowCare First Colonial), where Dr. Sotosky was on duty. He saw me right away, was very patient and professional, and saw that my arm was X-rayed. The whole staff was great. I don't often seek medical help, but this was the finest doctor's visit I've ever had.
The doctor was very courtesand took the time to explain my problem thoroughly,. He also stated several things G's that I could do on my own to make the situation better for me,. This was my first visit and I was very impressed,. I would definitely ask for him again ,
We feel so lost without our doctor. Out entire family went to him. I know that having a solitary practice has become almost impossible these days. We miss him very much. Thr Baxter Family
My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Sotosky for 20 years and have the utmost respect and admiration for him and the care he has provided, as well as his wonderful sense of humor. We were sad to learn that he would be closing his office on the 31st of this month. That being said, we will not miss the constant rude, condescending, and unprofessional treatment by his office assistant, and will not miss having to jump through hoops and being stone walled(currently still trying to get lab results to our new Dr. to no avail.) at every turn by this person. She should not be in the customer service business, much less the healthcare profession. We wish Dr. Sotosky the very best in his future en devours and retirement. He is the best!!
Dr. Sotosky is the best docter I have ever met. He is kind, curtious and professional.
I went to this doctor for the first time 23 years ago and never went back. I complained of headaches and without having done any tests on me to find out the cause he immediately wanted to put me on a beta blocker, a medication used to treat high blood pressure among others. Beta blockers lower heart beats and makes the heart work harder, and have a variety of side effects one needs to be aware of, especially people with asthma like myself. This man did noy so much as order a blood test but was quick to give me a prescription for something I highly doubt i needed. And if I did i would have appreciated an actual diagnosis!
Dr Sotosky is the best Doctor that I have had the pleasure of knowing. He is my parents doctor, my wifes doctor, and my sisters doctor. With that being said, his staff is has the worst attitude I have ever seen in a public service office setting. His head nurse / office manager should not be employed in a public service capacity. This womans attitude is not becoming of a professional and does not reflect well on Dr Sotosky. She needs to realize that the patients whom she treats so coldly pays her salary. I am 43 years old and in good health. Dr Sotosky is the ONLY doctor I have seen in my adult life so I was dismayed when she told me recently that I wasent even a real patient anymore because it had been three years since I had seen the doc. I am self employed and pay my own health insurance. I expect better service than this pathetic office staff provides.
-could probably get an appointment IF Teresa would answer the phone without "PLEASE HOLD" and forgetting that one was left on hold sometimes for hours. what is the big deal about making an appointment since the office does NOT appear to be very busy.-waiting time is ok compared with others drs.-the courtesy of the office staff is nonexistant. is this person Teresa a relative? i can not imagine her representing a professional in a front office position.-accuracy in diagnosing is ok if it can be done with an exam, referrals are taking much too long-bedside manner/ great dr. sotosky is caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable-follow up and call backs just don't happen when the doc. doesn't get his messages.
I have seen Dr. Sotosky for several years. About a year ago I switched to another doctor not because of Dr. Sotosky but his rude office personnel and Hours. I would call to make an appointment 20 minutes after their lunch hour was over and it would still roll to the answer service. The office staff seemed to go out of their way to make things difficult for you and were nasty to you on the phone. Dr. Sotosky is a caring wonderful doctor but he needs to pull the plug on his office staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
