DR. Given has been my Urologist and Oncologist for over 4years! He methodically has lead me through all the Prostate cancer treatments available! I had 44 proton treatments by Hampton Roads Proton Center that lasted 7 years before I met Dr. GIVEN! Originally my Gleason score was 4/5! Almost a year ago Dr. GIVEN started me on two powerful HORMONE drugs to stop the metastasis of the cancer in my bones! I was informed of the side effects such as lack of energy and weight gain! Yes, I'm coping with all this at over 80 years old and will listen to any recommendation Dr. Given suggest! My PSA and Tytestolone is now -0.3 where it should be to control the growth of the cancer! Yes, I have recommended Dr. Given and with his top nurses and PA. I believe they truly have the Patience health and mental interest in mind!

I do not feel that this office even deserves a star at all. In my years working with therapists and doctors this is the most difficult office to work with in scheduling. My dad was in to have a stent in and has two large stones. Due to his age and fact that they live out where signal is poor, my dad had it put in the primary doctors notes that this office was to contact me directly per his request to set up the appt. He needs a surgery to remove stones and it had been two weeks on constant attempts by me and finally got siblings involved and they too unable to get scheduled. Those answering the phones seem totally lost!!! They even cut you off on the line, also told the person we need is not in and not sure when be back !!! All we need is to get his prepped appt scheduled!!!!!! Two weeks of this makes no sense!!! N.C

Dr. Givens after seeing I had High PSA ordered a biosopy right away found I had Cancer and scheduled the surgeory to remove prostate' everything went well and it was caught in time. Dr.Givens is direct and tells you like it is.

It took many phone calls over a two week period to get a response from Dr. Given for the results of an MRI for prostate cancer.

Front office staff was unhelpful and admitted they had no clue what was going on. Dr. Givens nurse is fantastic. As far as Dr. Givens goes he answers all your questions but in a sarcastic way so I wasn't sure if it was his way of being funny or rude.

They didn't inform me that they are out side the network of my insurance until i went there and the doctor stayed with me 5 mins ...just read the other doctor report and confirm and after i checked up in other place ...i found he was wrong!...thank god i left this place
