Thomas A. Alberico's Online Review Report Card

Besides being an outstanding oncologist, Dr. Alberico is extremely kind and patient. I feel like I am important to him, and he wants me to be well informed about my treatments and the decisions his team has made about my care. During this very difficult time in my life I am so grateful he is on my side.

Dr. Alberico has been my oncologist treating my cancer for several years. I have always found him to be attentive, knowledgeable, and caring. He is the best.

Dr. Alberico is the best of the best. My last appointment he had routinely read a CTscan that had been ordered by another doctor for kidney stones. It incidentally mentioned that there were some suspicious nodules in my lungs. He was upset that no one had brought those to my attention and strongly suggested I have my primary order a CTscan of my lungs. I did so immediately. Thank God they are not cancer, but it impressed me that he looked at the WHOLE picture - he didn't even have to read that CTscan at all, but he did, and I'm grateful. I'm four years cancer free. I want to keep it that way, and I know he'll do his best to see to it as well.

I’ve been treated by Dr. Alberico for 4 years. Every visit is characterized by team professionalism, caring and excellent communication. I can’t say enough superlatives about VOA in general and Dr. Alberico in particular. I love that guy.

Visit with Dr. Alberico once a month, always professional and will go over labs.

I would recommend Dr. Alberico to my family and friends. He is through and explains what happens next during treatment (i.e. chemotherapy, surgery or radiation etc.). He is good about asking questions regarding side effects of the chemotherapy drugs and makes adjustments to meet my needs at that particular time. I have another health condition that requires Dr. Alberico to communicate with other doctors outside of the regular VOA team. He communicates well with them advising them about what medications I can and cannot take during my treatments. If there is a question about what may be causing a side effect he is good at doing further tests to rule certain things out. The one area I would say needed improvement is the wait time to see him for each visit. He does take time with me as a patient answering any questions I have. He works well with his PA. Together I think they make a great team.

I believe Dr Alberico is very meticulous and truly concerned about my health care. He takes the time to explain the issues and options.

Dr. Alberico genuinely cares about his patients. His concern is evident by the meticulous care he takes reviewing their history, their present concerns, and careful consideration of future treatments. You leave feeling like your health and your well being matter. After a few years of quality care you feel like you have a friend. I can not recommend Dr. Alberico highly enough. He’s the one you want walking with you through life’s struggles. The nurses are friendly and efficient; always available to answer questions and help with the treatment process.

Dr. Alberico is professional and personable. I feel confident that I am getting the best care possible with each visit.
