Todd Albala's Online Review Report Card

DO NOT SEE THIS TERRIBLE DOCTOR. My 53 year old husband twice went for shortness of breath, pounding head, and fatigue. His symptoms were dismissed and several weeks later he went into heart failure. Each doctor we subsequently encountered was flabbergasted that Albala did not bother do a simple stress test or send my husband anywhere to be seen.

Staff is great and the doctor is well educated with a good way of dealing with patients!

Dr Albala was my primary care doctor.I should have picked a urgent care due to him never being able to see his patient when he is needed or even give a personal phone call if a patient has concerns.I found out through a urgent care that I was diabetic/600+.On the way to a appointment at 7:30 am after being diagnosed by the doctor at the urgent care. ( remember that he can never see you when you need him) And waiting days his office called and canceled my appointment.Also at my first appointment his first sentence when meeting me was that I was morbidly obiec/ he is as big as I am so I told him that it looked like we were going to be on the same medications.I needed a question answered during my initial diagnosis of being diabetic so I called my doctors.Urgent care doctor called me back personally.Specialist called me back personally.DR ALBALA HAD IS RECEPTIONIST CALL.I just asked the young lady to take me off the patient list.If you want a doctor that can see you when you are sick and cares about a patient enough to personally pick up a phone he is not your guy.

My experience with Dr. Albala and his staff was top notch. They listened to me, answered all of my weird questions, were patient with my while I struggled with shots, and generally went above and beyond. I'm thankful to have found them.

Maybe we as patients should come with a bit of over the counter patience.I found my experience with Dr. Albala and staff to be exceptional. And I tend to get quite anxious when it comes to visits. Not only was the staff efficient and courteous, but I did not realize that they were working under a bit of stress! Meaning, I overheard a typical discussion (normal office talk) that alluded to really needing to get some tasks completed. However, their combined professional and pleasant demeanor never once led me to even think or question anything.I think that speaks volumes. I'm not worried any longer about my future care. Thank you everyone, with everything going on...you're very appreciated by this person.

Dr. Albala bullied my 70 yo mother accusing her of pill seeking and doctor shopping after fracturing her humerus/shoulder. She was prescribed pain medication and referred to ortho on March 26th. Then was prescribed additional pain medication at her 2nd visit to ortho in late April. She received no additional pain medication since that time. She saw Dr. Todd Alblala on July 7. In addition, Dr. Albala pushed her still healing (and fractured 4.8mm) shoulder through ROM while she silently cried.Dr.Alvala do you routinely bully patients like this? Especially when they must visit you alone? How long have you known my mother? 3 hours? I've known her for 43 years and this is not who she is.I look forward to hearing more from Sentar about this terrible experience.

Dr. Todd is a very knowledgeable physician. He gets to know his patients well and practices excellent medicine. He is very direct but that's a critical skill in managing patients lives and well-being. He is greatly missed in Greenville, SC and is a tremendous loss to Prisma Health. He's sincere and committed to practicing real medicine to manage the health of his patients. We wish him the very best life has to offer--he deserves it!!

I wish Dr Todd did not leave the Greenville, SC office so abruptly. I truly believe that he saved my life by being direct even if I didn't want to hear the truth. He is a very competent physician who cares deeply for his patients. He tell it as he sees it. I miss him a lot. Where ever he is, I wish him and his wife the best of luck and lots of happiness.

All my visits with Dr Todd were very good. Never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes and every time Dr always explained everything to help me understand. I wish he wouldn't have left the Greenville office.
