This facility has declined sooo much. I’ve been taking my daughter here since she was born and it hasn’t been good in a long time. From long wait times on the phone, to struggling to get a appointment, to the doctors just not being properly equipt with the right knowledge to help the children. To nurses booking appointments for me and me showing up for the appointment for them to say “it was scheduled for a different day but documented for today they don’t know what happened”.. and the supervisor stating they can’t squeeze my sick child who’s scheduled for today in as if my child hasn’t been sick for the past few days and I’ve done spoken with them a few times already makes no sense. I continued to go to them even after noticing the decline because they’re close by and in the heart of towncenter and “USE” to be a good spot. But not anymore I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to shut down eventually. The practice has gone downhill like everyone has said.
Dr. Childs is amazing and so are her nurses. She listens to your concerns and addresses them. She communicates practically and efficiently. I know my son is in good hands.
I have had nothing but good experiences with Town Center Pediatrics. Dr Gower is patient and she talks to the kids to make better life decisions for their health with lots of resources and ideas or changes to make. I will be staying here until the children all age out.

Horrible wait times on phone and got appointments! My son hasn’t been able to get in the last two years, for his yearly check up because they are so busy. Front desk workers are generally rude as well.
I have been taking my son to this Practice since he was a year old (he is now 6). I have seen a steady decline in their customer service. Everything from long hold times to not being able to getting a sick appointment for months. Also the Doctor has repeatedly said my son was overweight even though he is MUCH taller than his peers so he does not fit the 'average'. If you look at him you can tell he is quite fit and perfect for his height. The last straw is that they called me on the morning of his well check appointment (which I have had in the books for 3 months) to say that the doctor had called out for the day and that I needed to call back to reschedule. I understand that things happen. Doctors are people too and get sick or have emergencies as well. So during my lunch I did just that. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes even though I was the next caller in line I finally got someone on the phone. The lady on the phone said she was surprised I was not told to call back Friday because that is when their DECEMBER schedule opens up!!! So you are telling me that I have to wait to hopefully get my son seen in another 3 months?! I asked if he could see another Doctor within the Practice or be put on some sort of list just in case anyone cancelled between now and then. I was told that all the Doctors were full and no such list existed. I was not the cause for this need to reschedule. Your office was! Why is there nothing in place for when these things happen? I am sure this is not the first time. Needless to say I have already scheduled him with a new Provider/Practice that was able to get me in sooner than December.

Very Rude and disappointing!! I had a staff member after they had us come in and waste 2 visits not completing paperwork correctly not care and just wants to say sorry we are full and told me there's nothing she can do till September nor can she suggest where to take him to get forms completed as we had a deadline for an event he was attending in a week. I asked to speak with another nurse explained scenario to her and she continued to repeat herself in a circle again no help. When I am literally trying to explain idk where the disconnect is but I have been going there for 12 years and never had an issue. When I asked to speak to the Dr. Child's myself they had her give me a call back for her to turn around and not hear me out or nothing just looked at her notes and said well its documented you cussed out my staff so we can no longer service you. Umm What?!? I did not cuss out your staff. I quote directly from the Dr. "well that's what my note says and Its hard to keep staff nowadays so I have to believe what they say". Um okay so now we just taking her word over mine because you need a worker! Aren't these calls recorded for training purposes?! Roll it back! It sucks that due to simple communication errors I now have to find a new pediatrician for my family! I love America!!
I recall the Drs here being wonderful but considering how rude the customer service is I guess I will never find out. It is extremely sad that your immediate answer is to go somewhere else. I moved away for many years and was excited to see Dr. Shewan was in network on my insurance when I moved back. I am saddened that the old hospitality and wonder customer service is gone. I will for sure be going somewhere else and making sure others know how quickly and rudely I was brushed off.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
