Best doctor I have ever had. Great bedside manner. Takes time to talk to you. Explains everything that is going to do , answers every question.

I do not recommend this doctor. After a CT scan, that had another patients information pulled up on the machine during the test, I received a phone call from his nurse and they wanted to remove my kidney. The nurse would not transfer me to the doctor, they would not provide an explanation of what could cause the apparent issue, or offer any other treatment options. Shortly after, I had an appointment for a second opinion, I do not have any medical issues and most certainly do not need my kidney removed! This is complete medical negligence that could have caused me lifelong medical issues.

Wonderful Doctor. Called me personally as soon as he got test results and had me in hospital next day. He is an awesome physician who really cares about his patients. Highly recommend him.

I had to FORCE a follow up call with this office. Decastro told me all of my medical problems(nephrocalcinosis and kidney stones, due to high calcium levels) I am also pregnant. He told me that I needed a thyroid test. Almost three weeks later got the results back and the receptionist called and said “test was normal!” But then she was annoyed when I had more questions about what to do next about the high calcium, nephrocalcinosis, and stones and said “it’s Friday and we have a lot of last minute Friday stuff going on” So DeCastro calls me extremely short and annoyed with me as well, tells me “your high calcium is not dangerous in pregnancy”(it’s extremely dangerous by the way) They were just planning on telling me my thyroid was normal and then leaving it at that when they SHOULD have scheduled a follow up appointment to discuss what they can and cannot do about my nephrocalcinosis, stones and high calcium. I felt like an inconvenience to the entire staff and I was being blown off.

Dr Decastro is a fantastic doctor! His office got me in same day, Dr explained my options thoroughly, gave me the opportunity to ask questions and was extremely kind throughout it all. He was supportive of whatever I chose and explained pros&cons honestly. I was very nervous about my procedure but I’m glad he treated me. He even follows up with phone calls to make sure you’re doing okay afterward. Highly recommend!

Brian DeCastro, MD is an exceptional physician and surgeon. He takes all the time needed to explain your condition and care options in a way patients can easily understand. He really listens to your concerns and invites all questions you may have. Office visits are backup by emails and personal phone calls from him. While I was in the hospital for surgery he was continually attentive not only to my medical needs but also my comfort. Bottom line is that Dr. DeCastro is not only skilled but he also truly cares about his patients on a personal level.

My experience with Dr. Brian Decastro was excellent. If there were six stars on this review I would give it. I was correctly diagnosed the first time unlike other doctors I had visited. I called Dr. Decastro and asked for a different procedure after having met with him from another physician and was prepared to jump ship to another urologist to do what I thought was a better newer surgical method of tackling problem. Any other doctor would have said okay bye. Dr. Decastro explained and informed me why he was performing this procedure over the newer one very eloquently. So much so that I could feel that he cared. I was even more impressed that he not only was accessible but contacted me after the surgery both in person and via phone directly. I felt like a had my the best best experience possible. I cannot stress how much better it is to have a doctor with a heart that is accessible. When I calling around I noticed it was almost impossible to get people to call me back. He's the best and I have ever met. I have found a urologist for life. Thanks Doc. Gabriel DaSilva
